Webtoon Subcribers are flaky

Is it just me or the subscribers on webtoon are unstable. It's like you post a chapter they don't like and they will instantly unsub you. And they never interact with you also. I love my readers on Tapas so much. People are more open and there s a sense of fanbase.

While I think it's probably true some are flaky, I think the main situation I see happen is:
They see your cover somehow (promotion, new in the genre, reccomended from the comic they finished reading) - they go and sub to read later. You update - they are reminded they subbed and start reading. They realise its not for them and unsub.

Personally I love my readers on both apps. But it is hard not to feel down when you update to webtoon and instead of your numbers going up - they drop sometimes. I try to not stress about the numbers though, if people unsub for whatever their reason may be - I just try to be happy about the ones who stay.

Part of the reason people sub and unsub is you're restricted to a maximum of 100 comics to be subbed to on webtoons. People also use the sub feature to bookmark series to read later so they don't lose track of the title

I have found that for me webtoons is not worth it. They are not tablet friendly so it’s a lot of hassle for little return. I know most people advice to spread your comic around, but I have been able to steadily grow my audience on tapas. If people are interested in reading a comic I am sure they would be willing to download the tapas app if they don’t have it already. Just keep positive and keep posting, and the readers will come.

Mmm, yes...but the fact that they're usually flaky means it's that much less of a tragedy when they're flaky to you. ^^; It's a natural thing, like the circle of life...you shouldn't expect the sub numbers to steadily go up, as counter-intuitive as it sounds. It's normal for them to fluctuate.

It's easier for me to be fine with it, because I don't update very often, and I'm always forgetting the number of subs I saw last. At first, I thought I was just imagining that they were going up and down; it took a while before I realized that I was actually losing people occasionally.

But all that means I can just not take them seriously and focus on the numbers of views and likes instead, which rarely take sudden downturns. One of my favorite things to do is root for the next hundred views in the day or two after an update. ^^ (I'm not used to getting view counts with three digits, ok)

Honestly I'd rather they unsub if they're uninterested/not gonna read than continue to stay and be dead subs... cough cough like on my tapas

Hell yeah. Who cares about a number if it doesn't represent a person who's actually interested?

And the 100 sub limit seems totally reasonable to me. Does anyone even actively follow 100 comics at once? I don't think I even have 10 comics I keep up with on an update to update basis.

I use webtoons and i really like it, i dont have a big number of subs tho.
But tapas is diferrent, its comunnity! And i love that too

I don't think its about being Flaky I think its just them losing interest really. because it all happened to the best of us. maybe the reason why they subscribed was no longer there. there are times when I see a update In certain comics that pop up and I wonder why I subscribed to them. its just natural sometimes its not personal. we all lose subs here and there and its nothing to panic about. but I guess when you have as few subs as you do I can see how that is difficult to ignore. anyway, don't take it personal.
