Hello, I am watching the hunter x hunter anime series. This anime series is full pack of action and thrillers. This series was a famous and record-breaking anime series that was aired from 2011 to 2014. In the first, the season of Hunter x Hunter 2011 has a total of 148 episodes, and they were aired in Japan. Therefore, the first season of this series became a hit as soon as it was released.

I really love Dragon Quest Dai's Adventure this week.

I've been debating on giving this show a try...still not sure.

Technically an anime. A classic.

Watching in its original language (dutch) with English subs.
Various language version can be found here (including the awful UK dub) Probably the best image quality currently...cropped though.

The beginning is actually really nice. I kinda lost interest around ep 35 and didn't finish... They started doing things with alchemy in a weird magic way that didn't sit well lol

Funny enough, I never cared too much about the alchemy. I alwayd sorta saw it as glorified earthbending lol but yeah episode 35-ish gets slowish if i remember correctly. The anime gets stuck in setup mode for quite a while and it pays off in the final arc

Yeah, that's what I saw it as too. But then... they start using it like... magic? They kinda just destroy all the rules and introduce that 'kid' wrath thing guy and I sort of lost interest. The setup wasn't bad at all though, I kinda liked their version of this story taking Edward in a different direction. I might get back and finish it, haven't felt like doing it for almost a year now, so we'll see lol

Watched Arcane: League Of Legends; it was pretty good- the animation style and shots were definitely sweet.

I am super stressed out and I just wanted to watch something that is the opposite of depressing.
A live action Beyblade film has also been announce recently so I was also curious.

11 days later

Still watching Boruto, Yashahime, and Attack On Titan...

Just saw Jujutsu Kaisen 0 :sunglasses:

For those that don't know, this is a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen anime and manga. And it just came out in theaters for us in the US! I'll keep my review of it spoiler-free for the most part. The few things I do mention, I'll keep as vague as possible

It's everything we love about the series, but with romantic undertones to the narrative. It honestly kinda works here, there's something really beautiful about the contrast of the scenes in the main character's backstory compared to some of the gruesome stuff we see later on. I think it could have benefitted from being a full 2-hour-long movie to wrap up everything, but it gets by just enough to be a satisfying conclusion imo. The OST stands out so beautifully during the calmer scenes, and the animation is.. somewhat underwhelming for a film, but it's still on par with the best animation from the TV series so.. honestly, it's still visually appealing, but I'd say I hyped myself up too much with expectations tbh.. I'm gonna blame Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia for that lmao

Overall, a really good self-contained story. I'd say it's a safe enough introduction to Jujutsu Kaisen for newcomers with the exception of some action-oriented fanservice based on characters outside of the main cast of the film. And for those that are already fans of the series.. Like I said, it's the same level of quality for what you'd expect from the anime. It's a strong 7 out of 10

an actual 7 btw.. so many people use the number as an equivalent to saying something's "okay". that's what 5 and 6 are for, mini rant over lol
