Me first:
My story mixes comedy, horror and action fantasy, and despite having a lot of jokes and senseless humor, it has a very deep plot; is a story about heroes in a post-war world and they fight against a sect that turns people into animals, it currently only has 1 episode, but episodes will be posted every Sunday, subscribe there if you want to follow along.

Pretty crazy, isn't it? Take a look there, you might like it!

Now it's your turn: what are the strengths of your work and why should people read it?

My story is a mix of a lot of genres. Action, fantasy, supernatural, science fiction, drama...

And I think my story is pretty original... Not just me thinking it... Some people online and irl also say so...

Unless you can prove me wrong otherwise by showing another similar comic or anime or movie. By similar I mean something like yuyu Hakusho and flame of recca... Or like every other Isekai story that's why there's memes on Facebook mocking Isekai :joy:

Is your story original? You think that because you haven't seen mine yet :joy:
But then, your story sounds really cool, I would read it if I weren't so busy

Edit: wow man, I took a look at your story and you are much more advanced than me :scream:

Is your story too long? How many chapters does it currently have?

I think putting a profile picture will give you more personality and make people think: "this guy is recognizable, not a random"; Like it or not, it is important to convey commitment even in small details.

Hmm I guess my strengths would be ,the characters and their interactions, the subtle world building and it’s a pretty enjoyable fantasy novel . Also if you are a fan of Bleach,Elden Ring and Berserk then I think you might like this.

Good question!

Prose is a strong suit of mine. I love words. I love how they fit together. I love a mellifluous sentence.

So it makes sense my novel's got a strong narrative voice, too. You may not like Iyu, my main character, but you certainly won't think he's milquetoast.

It's also a story that's asking questions about how the world should work, and it's not afraid to swing for the fences. The story may not be able to answer all the questions it asks, but I think it gives a fair shake to all sides of those questions and doesn't expect you to side with the main character just because he's the main character.

Yep always happy for people to read and come up with their own theories
Left it open for others to interpret their own idea of strengths from it but from my own view while making it the aim was to create something that's packed with roller-coaster style action, a protagonist that's easy to get behind but also horrifying mysterious and unusual.
High stakes because the MCs (2 brothers) are unwilling carriers of a virus (anyone infected by them would become horrid monsters) and their condition grants them abilities based on states of matter [a combo of Horror/Dark Fantasy/ Dark Humor Superhero and Shonen-Leveling,].

The visuals and presentation is immersive and cinematic, lots of clues around to either lead or trick the reader. As an artist I enjoy making places feel lived-in and spending time to make the brotherhood theme feel genuine (with elements inspired from my kinship with RL brothers/sisters straight and gay and written in a way everyone can enjoy). Just wanted to make something that brought me the same joy games like RE, Metal Gear, Tekken, Shadow of Colossus, Final Fantasy, Dead Space and Devil May cry brought me, so hopefully this can bring you that too   :video_game:

That I finished it lol. I know that sounds like a joke, but honestly, respect to anyone who sees their story through! 🫔

Really? I personally hope to gather a group of readers here to support my upcoming works, so I don't plan to end my story too soon, but I also don't want to drag it out too much.

Hey, do you enjoy stories with violence, questionable humor, and tasteless jokes? My story offers that and much more! If you're interested, here's the link:

My comic has characters I've been juggling in my head since grade school, as well an emphasis on world-building. It's about a group of misfit kids from different backgrounds caught between the way the world is, the way others want the world to be, and the way the could could be.

Not gonna post a link or anything, but the strength in my story lies with the character development. I'm about 100k words in and the character development my characters have had are worked in slowly. However, there are clear differences from the beginning to now. And that, alone, makes me happy cause I see 1 how much they've changed as the story has gone along and 2 they aren't magically all perfect.

The leads to my second part: my characters have flaws. Many flaws. They acknowledge and accept their flaws because no one is perfect realistically. They try and learn and accept those flaws and make them into into strengths.

The last part (though I can go on) is the diversity. I am not just talking about skin color, weight acceptance, etc. I am talking about lgbtq+, disabilities, spectrum awareness. It may not all be present (this is a fantasy story / medieval fantasy) and acknowledged, but it does not have to be. I can confirm that my MC is on the spectrum, but I don't have to announce it, yknow? A diagnosis is not crucial to the plot. There are aspects that she showcases and it's up to the people to interpret it.

My story combines romance and supernatural fantasy! If you're into vampires and werewolves, you've come to the right place! :hype_01: It's a love story between two creatures as they learn about each other. Also, it has mature themes, so if you enjoy occasional spicy scenes, come take a look! :hohoho:

Oh yes, inclusivity is important! My story has people of all types and touches on themes such as:

  • depression;

  • bipolarity;

  • greed.

However, it only has 1 episode, but I plan to post new episodes every Sunday.

Check it out later, maybe you'll like it; the story has dark humor and the atmosphere varies a lot between comedy, suspense, horror and action.

My comic is a callback to the 80s action fantasies like He-Man except it's a mature streak to it. It's also more than just good vs evil. It's about gaslighting, red flags and conspiracy.

Well, it's my creation, to me it's already perfect...i guess that maybe because i tryu to stay away from the now all used tropes that many do? or that it's impossible to know where am i going?

Destiny's Echo is a non-serialized comic strip, so each page us self-containe, but there's still a cohesive conceot behind the jokes.

My strip's only on its third page so far, but I personally believe the strengths of my comic is that it combines zany and eclectic jokes with a solid overarching concept that's versatile and cohesive enough so that things won't get stale or too boring or repetitive. Anyone who reads my strip will have no idea what's coming next, and I deliberately structured the comic in such a way that even if there's a couple of days or so between updates, every next strip will actually be worth the wait because one strip always does something differently than the previous one.

Also, my characters are diverse enough so that anyone who reads my comic will be able to see themselves in at least one of them, making it all the more relatable. Also, the characters have superpowers. So...yeah.

In addition to that, my comic features a superpower system I developed (that draws inspiration from a variety of sources, from anime to quantum physics to self-help literature) that ensures that a character's superpowers and abilities are reflections of who they are as people. This ensures that each character each contributes their own unique thing to the overall narrative, which makes things more enjoyable.

Also, the subject matter of the comic is wide and eclectic and diverse, because I designed it to never be a one-trick pony that always resorts to the same boring, uninspired, repetitive sitcom gags over and over and over again.

However, my comic is only on its third page, so these strengths will be more solidified as the comic grows and develops. I planned out the next 30 or so strips though, so my vision is still cohesive.

Mine is also a rollercoaster of emotions; one moment there is terror and tension, the next moment there are bad jokes and questionable humor :joy:

The narration. I have a poetry inspired lyrical prose type way of setting the scenes and narrating the story that really creates a colorful world that you can almost feel and experience with all your senses. Second is the characters, they are very real, emotional, and all complex, like they could be real people with multiple dynamics and dimensions you get to see more more over time

Probably the lore, mystery, and world building. The history is complex, and it playfully mixes what's real with what might be fairy tale or the leads imagination to throw readers for a curve. It's sort of a mystery, and people are left to discover what, if anything, is really as it seems.

AH love threads like these!
I’d say the aspect of my story (so far) that stands out to readers is my use of expressions. I love illustrating expressions and I don’t hold back on this story!

My personal favorite aspect is how I believe mental health ties into the concept of magic and fantasy. It’s a conversation I’ve always wanted to discuss and now it’s ALL I GET TO TALK ABOUT HAHAHAHA

Also Lee

Lee’s becoming a fan favorite- all the homies love Lee

Hmm, I would say that's excellent, and I do something similar: since my story is in novel format, most of the time I prefer to use action tags instead of speech tags, I think that gives it an extra charm.

To me, it doesn't make sense to write something like:
Someone said: "I'm so happy!"
And then, they smiled.

If I can write:
Someone gave a big smile: "I'm very happy!"

I'd say the strength of my story is definitely my writing and while the artwork is simple it gets stronger as the story progresses.

Have a daily comic strip called The Experiment check it out, subscribe let me know if you like it or if you don't either way is cool with me. The Experiment1

:stars: Greeting!

I've heard from many that the worldbuilding in War of Neytives is the best strength when I write. My story blends Science and Fantasy genres. I wanted to layer both genres into the characters, plotlines and lore as best as I can, without piling everything into a certain part of the story. I wanted everything to flow naturally and keep readers hooked.

This story follows an ensemble of extraterrestrials as they journey through the galaxy and unknowingly discover a dangerous prophecy. The 16th chapter has been posted and will continue it's weekly updates every Wednesday.

Niji Chikara is a magical girl comic where the magical shenanigans have real world consequences. The girls still have to do homework, plan around conflicting schedules, and deal with clashing personalities as they battle dangerous villains—who, by the way, also have to plan around their own work schedules.

It balances comedy and drama, with a compelling cast of characters who will make you laugh and make you cry. Enjoy a lighthearted narrative with dark undertones, which will make you realize that being a magical girl isn't always fun and games.

If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to check it out:

I like to think the humor. My co-writer and I have a shared braincell and our senses of humor are right in line, so it adds up to a lot of entertaining chaos :joy:

That's great, having another person working on the project adds a lot!!

I didn't know how it would work when we started but it's been phenomenal! It's like having your biggest fan writing your story with you.

I imagine, and I also imagine that with a different perspective acting on the same purpose, several ideas and possibilities arise.
