I dunno, depends on if you're referring to quality of story, quality of presentation or overall effort
Quality of Story:
My A game. I take my stories very seriously and have pretty grandiose ambitions for them; I want them to stand the test of time I curate the crap out of my stories and only put effort into those I think are really really really worth telling.
I do a lot of digging to see how people are already handling the themes I want to address; not to give up because 'it's already been done', but to continue the dialogue and bring something new to the discussion. It's like when I'm commenting on a thread; I read the other replies first and try to make a comment that brings something new to the topic that hasn't been commented on, or addressing an issue another comment brought up or reminded me of.
I like discussing writing about things that are already been written about, but I don't want to just echo what's already there :]
Quality of Presentation:
I'd say my B game; I'm not intending to maximize the absolute quality of the art/script I put out, just my effort-to-quality ratio. I'm going for the highest rate of returns for the effort I put in - and I believe around '60% of my best' is where I start getting diminishing returns for the work I put in.
For instance, I don't do proper clean lineart and colouring for my comics because I find it incredibly grueling and tedious, but doesn't make my comics better by that much imo
Overall Effort:
Totally my C game; my comics aren't a priority at the moment and I basically just work on them whenever I have the urge to because I think it's unwise to waste those precious bursts of creative energy Though I do intend to step up my game and make it a priority after I finish uni XD
