This song inspired me to do something interesting with Walace.
I'll make a lyric comic about what happens and put it in a new extras series, but here's the story:
Walace always felt the guiltiest about what happened with Spamton. He stopped agreeing with everything his twin brother, Sergio, said and did, as he had when he was younger, and their personalities started to clash dramatically.
Walace is a fashion designer, and actually does his best work while heavily stimulated. He likes to turn on music videos while he works.
Or at least, he used to. Over time, he began to see creepy smiles hover over his videos, seemingly taunting him. Of course, he was pretty creeped out, but when no one else claimed to see it, he decided he was hallucinating and tried to take longer breaks.
Of course, he had no idea who Mike was or what he had done to his brother, or he would have done things differently. The longer he ignored the grins, however, the worse things got. He started to hear Spamton's voice coming through the TV, screaming for help, while the creepy smile started laughing.
Walace started to freak out. He would burst into tears and scream out apologies out of nowhere, confusing and scaring his customers and worrying his family.
The day the Lighteners arrived, the other Addisons came to see Walace. They tried to reassure him that Spamton was all right, that if he was hurt or dead, they would have sensed it.
Suddenly, they all felt really uncomfortable. They inexplicably felt claustrophobic, and the overwhelming sensation of being trapped washed over them.
At that moment, Kris and her friends were facing off against Spamton NEO.
Due to their blood connection, the Addisons felt Spamton's pain as the battle progressed. And when it was all over, and he dropped helplessly onto the railroad tracks, they started sobbing uncontrollably as his death hit them like a knife through the heart.
When I eventually make a Deltarune comic, I'll go a different direction, but knowing what I imagine happening in the original timeline is still important to understand.
