I was waiting for someone to bring up Thanksgiving. I actually thought that myself while writing this post.

I'm gonna agree with everyone here but it's just true xD The community is so loving <3
When my rat passed away I needed a break... I was so sad. People understood and many people left me supporting messages and the tribute comic page I made for my rat recieved 2.1k likes.
I think that's the thing I'm most grateful for, the kindness of this community.

I'm thankful to Tapas for restoring my excitement about comic/story creation. I've been working almost exclusively as a "gallery" artist these past few years, and I'm not tempermentally suited to deal with gallery folks and schlepping and shipping physical artworks. Not to say gallery owners are bad, most of them I've dealt with have been great. But I would much, much, much rather do nothing but draw new stuff and then just post it out into the aether (or hand it over to a Print on Demand site). I hate having to take art to a building, go to events in dressy attire, and that stuff.

I didn't really remember that about myself until I came over here and finally started consistently updating a comic again somewhere online for the first time in forever. It was WAY MORE FUN. So I'm grateful to Tapas that I'm having a lot more fun now!

Yeah I agree, a great community of artists!
I'm thankful for both the community and the website/app. It's well designed and also sparked my interest in creating a comic. I have wanted to create a comic for some time and things like this weren't available at the time.
Now its easy to just hop on tapas and upload. I even got free coins to get started reading and tipping, and I found comics I enjoy reading and drooling over the art. haha

The other great thing was the forum posts for new comic artist had some great advice on how to get started.
My favorite thing was "You can plan all you want and promise the world, but unless you actually start the process, you'll never put yourself out there or get any better." advice for creators starting on tapas

After I finished college a year ago, I was wondering what I would do with myself, but I always had dreams of making comics or manga. Then one day I thought, "Well, why couldn't I??" and I joined! I was so excited it was finally happening that it took 2 days to finish my profile lol

I am thankful for being able to schedule releases. I have to wake up at 6am for webtoons just to press publish.

Basically Tapas has gone from what was just a mirror for me that I kind of neglected years ago, to my favourite webcomic hosting site, and I think half of the time that someone or something makes my day it's on Tapas or related to it.

I haven't been on Tapas long but I'm so thankful for it simply being here! Sharing my work is a little nerve wracking still but it's been such a great motivator for me! It's also been fantastic to see all the wonderful work that I otherwise would never know about!

Feedback. In the past, struggling as an artist Ive never been given the motivation to push myself as a creator. I've often had to rely on cheesy self-help books and motivation quotes to act as an outside voice of encouragement. Here, I've recieved feedback that's helped me fill my blindspots by addressing them head on and not just looking for alternatives paths to success.
