A lot of writing, vector art, photography/videography, and trying to code a website.

Highly recommend photography and videography, it's another fun creative outlet, although creating a video is leagues harder than taking a photo and editing it in Lightroom.

@oranges0da Coding and vector art sound like a lot of fun too! Definitely considering photography now, as someone else suggested too. Thanks for sharing!

gaming and spacing out for several hours at a time... also sometimes photography if i'm feeling bold enough to go out of doors or if i have to go outside. i guess art too even tho that's my "job" but i can draw for work and for fun (lately i'm trying to get back into small animations like gifs or animatics).

i would really like to go back to making stuff out of clay but the best i can ever really afford is the cheap knock off play-doh and it's awful for crafting. like sure you can smush it into certain shapes but it wont hold once it's dried...just disappointingly and painfully crack and sever

My hobbies are playing video games, making excel spreadsheets for the games I play, reading, writing, baking, and fishing.

I'm trying to find more group hobbies to do as I spend most (all...) of my time alone. The person I usually run my writing by has gotten busy, so that's one less person I'm talking to, lol. I normally go fishing with my father, but we haven't had time to do it recently. On the bright side, I made mint-chocolate cupcakes the other day with an ermine frosting! I made a half batch because I wasn't sure about the recipe, but I regret it because they tasted really good and I want more.

A lot actually hahaha, aside from my usual art related hobbies (drawing, painting)
I play musical instruments :Guitar, piano (and now I'm learning violin),
Cooking , Crafting accessory making such as charm bracelets, earrings, necklaces, hair combs and the likes. Crochet (I do amigurumis/ small stuffed toy actually) I also do cosplay, photography
also I love to read and learning different languages as well so basically you could say it's learning new things ^^

@Animekitty I'm sorry you're struggling with writing right now. Maybe taking a break will help you reset your brain so you love it again. Have you tried reading The Artist Way by Julia Cameron? It's a bit hokey but it's the classic book about recovering your creativity when you're feeling drained.

My hobbies are crochet and embroidery. I also try to write in my journal and do yoga everyday.

I feel like I have a bunch of answers but none of them are correct

like, I watch anime, work out and play games occasionally but none of these count as hobbies, do they? and obviously, I enjoy writing comics since that's why I'm here. I guess I got more into reading webtoons recently. that's something.

oh, I used to make AMVs for fun. haven't made one in a while though.

I dabble in way too many things. lol. Here's what I do outside of drawing/comics:

anything crafty: sewing, bookbinding, dollhouse making, making fancy cardboard toys for kids, crafting stuff to organize, decorating

other random stuff: cooking/baking, board games, memorizing song lyrics, piano, ice skating, walking, swimming

I mean...art is my hobby / job...

I do play video games, dnd, paint minis, knit, crochet, sew, needle felt, garden, go for walks, sculpt, read.

Writing (not that y'all will see any of it soon apparently lmao), gaming, watching anime and making music.

The music one is what I wanna do more of in the future as a career, but it's also just weird to get into.. A lot of it is instrumental metal (not getting into subgenres), but it's got a lot of other elements that make it stand out from the traditional bass, guitars, and drums. The backing instrumentals are very atmospheric or strings-based, and lately, it's been leaning more electronic and synth-heavy (in a chilled out ambient way). Everything else is me experimenting with stuff for potential soundtracks for my comic project, so it leaves a bunch WIPs. I literally just came off of making music for a couple game jams~

I had to take a break from my hobbies after having kids as of course time and finances would be restricted, but will return to at least one of them one day when the boy is old enough to join in. I had for years done car modding, PC gaming, airsoft, and R/C racing (offroad electric).

I have adhd so I get bored really quickly and start new hobbies all the time. I cycle between these ones, maybe one will interest you:

  • arts and crafts - felting, sewing, knitting, embroidery, woodworking, making mini dollhouses, etc.
  • games - mostly multiplayer rpgs, I've been playing stardew valley, animal crossing, the forest, persona, and overcooked. My pc isn't strong enough to run anything else :joy:
  • music - I play violin but been slacking lately. I want to learn bass though
  • sports -tennis, running, yoga, being active really helps to keep your mind off things

Let's see~

I used to be in the military (I did military journalism and a bit of intel), and that left me with a love for exercising. I also love playing the piano, the saxophone, and producing music!

I also stream occasionally, but most of the time it's just me invading my other friends' streams (though I plan on streaming more one day).

Finally, I play games in my idle time. If the queue times are long, I literally just write my story. My main ones are Overwatch and Apex!

comic drawing, martial arts training like jiu jitsu, boxing, kickboxing etc.

Outside of art/comics, I do make YouTube videos, play guitar, read, write, and workout when I'm not at my job or school

@VibrantFox Sounds like fun! I've seen photography mentioned here a few times and considered giving it a shot. I probably won't do too well with it, but it might be fun and change things up. Making stuff out of clay seems pretty cool too, but maybe a bit pricey. Sucks how the cheaper stuff isn't very good.

@Audahlys Nice! Those sound like awesome hobbies. It's good to get together with others and enjoy them too.

@Eiranyx
Haha, that really is a lot! You sure have a lot of fun hobbies. Definitely keeps ya busy, I'm sure. Learning new things is great too!

@LadyOttoline Yeah, hopefully a break might help. I'm just worried that I might never want to go back to writing after this. I've never read that book before. I'll have to give it a look! You've got some fun hobbies too! Crochet and embroidery seems like it would be fun but very difficult.

I think with photography the goal for me is to not overthink it so if i see something pretty or visually interesting i just snap a photo as for the clay there's a pretty cheap white clay from crayola that i like but my personal budget is whats small and i've got other priority purchases alongside bills (mark my words though i will get my hands on some)

Love video games and making music  Also trying to do coding but it's confusing af lol
