What are your religions?

I'm a christian. Mostly cause i was raised under a christian roof my whole life. But i do want to believe in a God.

I'm Christian! : ) My hope is to follow Jesus and represent him well. ;u;

This influences my comic, but not in the sense that I avoid demonic-looking monsters or swearing (my comic has both!) but in the sense that I believe very strongly in the strength of kindness, in forgiveness, in the responsibility to reach out to others, in the calling to do difficult things, and in the inability of humans to fairly judge each other. I don't think you have to be religious to believe in or relate to those things!

This is by no means a personal attack or anything, just a simple question: if you don't need religion to believe or relate to those things, why do you need a religion at all?

I guess I am neopagan tho I am not very religious. I was raised Christian (non denominational) but I never felt 100% comfortable with the religion. However, I try to be open and accepting and will not tell people their religion is "wrong" or convince them to believe what I believe. I do respect Jesus as a philosopher but I do not worship him.

The idea of "needing a religion" is honestly kind of foreign to me, so this is tough to answer!

My faith isn't a means to becoming the best sort of person by following these rules. It's that, I'm able to know my creator, who loves me, and that's really cool, and I want to know him and to be the person he created me to be!

It's like, if I said "I love music, it gives me passion and emotion and soul, which are things anyone can understand," and you asked, "well, then why do you need music?" I dunno, whether or not you need it seems sort of beside the point! It's just a good thing and I hope that everyone who interacts with me can see why it matters so much to me, and can see it shine out through me!
And to continue the analogy, if anyone finds music because of me, I hope it's because they saw how much I loved it and how much it transformed me, not because I wouldn't stop bugging them to listen to that band I like.

I would say I'm a christian, but with that label comes a lot of things that I don't associate with. Most of the time when Atheists or Agnostics explain the God they don't believe in, I agree with them. I don't believe in an Arrogant, Intolerant, Violent, Uncaring, Homophobic, Ignorant, and Angry God, because that is not who he is, that is just a mainstream perspective of Him.
So in terms of "My Religion" I would say it is more of a Faith, than a religion. That faith in in Jesus, so my label - if any - would be I'm a disciple of Jesus ie. a follower of Jesus.

was born to a Muslim family, in fact i was named after the religion's name itself (the irony)
but following the Arab Uprising starting 4 years ago, most people in Egypt began to question authority and a lot of young people including myself began to go farther and question religion considering it a type of intellectual authority
was afraid at first, but now i embrace the spiritual experience of reason and rational thinking...

Formerly a theist agnostic, but right now leaning toward atheistic agnosticism. Born Catholic, though. Reeeally a touchy subject to broach with my friends and, who are Baptists and Evangelical Christians. I'm not really the argumentative type. Haha.

My philosophy revolves around finding happiness in our own personal way--that which is not imposed by any religion or creed, a happiness that gives our life meaning. I can't wholly relate to my more devout friends, but I understand why serving their divinity of choice gives them a reason for living, so I support them whenever I can, without compromising my own convictions.

I was raised Mormon, but left peacefully because it wasn't my cup of non-caffeinated tea. Still got a good relationship with my family and such.

Now I identify as apatheist. I believe many gods exist, I just don't care.

I kind of place myself somewhere between Christian and agnostic??? my beliefs tend to differ a lot and i have some of my own theories about the supernatural. I believe in God and the afterlife but I tend to really dislike the church environment (last time i went to one they tried repeatedly pressuring me to join the youth group, and that was extremely uncomfortable.) and hardcore conservative christians in general (its mostly political views there, though. i lean very very left haha.) I won't really hold myself back by getting dark with my art/stories/comics but I won't condone any negative actions taken by my characters if they go against my beliefs.

I was raised nondenom Christian, but grew towards a universalist Pagan understanding of the world in later years - specifically Gaelic Paganism. It's actually the inspiration for my latest comic, which centres around smaller characters from the stories of the Tuatha De Dannan.

I wasn't deeply introduced to religions until I read about them on my own. As of now, it just feels arbitrary to look through those books and wikipedia pages about them, like I'm trying to pick something tasty from a menu. So I would call myself an Atheist.
