What are your short and long term goals?

Do you have defined short and long term goals for your creative work?
Do you have deadlines or a plan?

I´ll start with an example:

I´m working on a new series, it will be printed as a 20 page comic

Goal 1:
Finishing the stores, character sheets and 3d backgrounds.
Deadline may 15
Goal 2:
1 page a week
Deadline Oktober 15
Long term goal:
Finihsed printable comic
Deadline end of december

finish the next book of the "Damsel in the Red Dress" Series

Long term goal:
build enough of a following for my writing and other creative works to be able to make a living out of it.

I have lots of other goals, but that would make this post REALLY long

Short term:
1. Finish thief of bones
2. Redo the first eight or nine chapters of thief of bones
3. Edit the entire - freaking - novel

Long term:
1. Publish Thief of Bones through self publish or a bit of luck
2. Make enough money to get a team concocted to transfer Thief of Bones to a full fledged webtoon.
3. Eventually start a new novel

• Finish Chapter 10
• Start Chapter 11 in Lyza's Sandstorm
• More subs

Long term:

• Finish "Lyza's Sandstorm" with all the plots are done.

My Short terms goals are:
* Finish Psychoborg
* Finish the manuscript of Pretenders
* Get the Wedding fancomic started

My long term goals are:
* Write and make art as long as I live
* Win an art and comic contest
* Get my work in print and cartoons

Complete the current arc and eventually get all the way to Rem
Complete a production diary that goes over the development pre release of the serializatin, and maybe post as well.
Get ahead of my releases, which I already have the drop on
Release a Patreon
Make a Facebook ad that makes bank
Start the novelization of season 1

Long term goals:
Complete the Glassflower saga and novelize it
Make a living wage off of my work
Animated adaptations
game adaptations
get invited to conventions and see cosplayer dressed as my characters

Short term I have a comic I’m contractually obligated to finish and I’m extremely close to the end.

I’m also starting work on a new project that I’m trying to outline really clearly.

Long term goal: I guess just keep doing what I’m doing. Every year I earn a little more money and my living gets a little more comfortable financially than the year before. I would like to keep that up.

Also my partner has started talking to me about saving for retirement which I never thought I’d do and may not actually be interested in retirement but it would be nice to not have to grind as hard as I have to now in my later years so thats something I’m thinking about for the first time this year.

I haven't for the third book yet, because I have no idea what my yearly schedule is going to look like. I'll be moving internationally

Why are you redoing the first 8 or 9 chapters?

short term goal:
build as much of a buffer as possible for my story so I don't stress

long term goal:
print my webnovel stories so I can re-read them (reading on a screen hurts my eyes, and i prefer trad books for reading)

Are you planning to send it to publishers?

no. I work with a publisher for my main series, but I just wanna publish my webnovels for me. I am considering making them available to people who want them traditionally like me, but they are already available online. there isn't much incentive to also buy a book

- finish scripting Gray and the Golden Circus
- maybe finish that comic in general? idk if it counts as short term bc it'll be a few years

long term:
- possibly print Gray and the Golden Circus
- start the next comic in the same world
- start trying to publish my novels in the same world (lofty i know aha)

They're simply just old. I feel as though my writing style has drastically improved. Not saying they're bad, but I find the pacing to be poorly done.

Mid-Term Creative Goals:

• Posting short comic strips every Friday – We’re using these to explore our characters, how they act and react, and how their stories connect. It also helps us understand what our audience loves most.

• Finalizing the Spacers Universe Bible and expanding the lore – We’re working on deepening the story, defining the world, its rules, key places, and character backgrounds. Some of this is already being shared on our Instagram — check it out here.

• Writing the script for the first full comic – A solid, engaging story that introduces the crew and kicks off the main adventure.

• Drawing the first 5 comic pages – This will serve as a visual sample for pitching, testing the art style, and preparing for crowdfunding.

-get all of my plot bunnies (i have a lot sitting around my gdrive and notes) into a workable and enjoyable novel to read
-hopefully create a community for each novel(?), i'd like to see fics, crack fics and fan arts
-if fate allows it, get monetized or the stories get adapted into a manhwa or something
