Jamie Hewlett has been a major influence to me - discovering Gorillaz in my early teens made me rethink everything I liked about art. It was the first time something drew me in and creeped me out at the same time. So, yeah. I have hundreds of favourite artists, but Jamie Hewlett's stuff holds a special place in my hear
Anyone better than me. I mean really, anytime I see something fantastic regardless of who made it. I say to myself, "I wanna make that too". So I do. Not sure if that makes any sense.
ive got a lot of reference artist, but 3 of them are special to me:Claudio Castellini for the ability and reserch of perfectionYoshikazu Yasuhiko for the ability to stay fresh in the inking process (simply stunning)Tim Bradstreet, for the ability to create some dark mature realistic style
I absolutely love old paintings and vintage illustrations, they're my inspiration and I'd love to draw like that. Some of my favs are Kay Nielsen, J.C. Leyendecker, James Tissot, Giovanni Boldini, Alphonse Mucha and so much more!More manga styled ones are Tsukiji Nao, Kaoru Mori(Emma/Otoyomegatari), Kazuya Minekura(Saiyuki), Ayami Kojima(art of Castlevania), Thores Shibamoto(Trinity Blood) and like every single artist on Pixiv lol... so goooood.
My inspiration was Arina Tanemura, since I was a little I wanted to be like her after reading about her and her mangas in a magazine, and in the time Yoshihiro Togashi (HXH), Shinobu Ohtaka (Magi) and Yuusuke Murata (Eye Shield 21 and One Punch Man) I love their drawings as how they make their story <3
Believe it or not, my first inspiration was Amy Brown when I was younger. I just really loved her fantasy work and it jump started me into trying out drawing fantasy stuff too. (I actually met a woman who used to be a model for her too which was really neat!) Then there was Monty Oum from a company named Rooster Teeth who did some hella great stuff. Sure it was all more 3d models and whatnot but I still really liked to see it.
Now its more my friends that inspire me because they all come up with such really awesome stuff. It just keeps pushing me to make things just as cool.
Also Ghilby works are a great inspirtation too ghuEH
Alex Toth - master of minimal lines, light and dark.
Back when I was first getting started, Endling, The Time Police, and Dana Terrace were my biggest inspirations. They don't really upload as often anymore, and I've sort of grown into being driven by competition. I'm REALLY bad about being competitive, too. I'll see an artists work, admire it for a moment, and then go "I can do better". The reality of it is that I can't, but hey, it keeps me going. :'D
It also seems to drag me into a lot of actual competitions...
It's an amalgamation of visual input that I use to get the momentum going. I've always been highly inspired by cool designs in logos and packaging designs (Paul Rand is a massive inspiration)! I really enjoy seeing little twists and arcs and angles that feel so nice on the eyes~
But the visuals that feed into my art are increasingly of bits and pieces of things I see. Though, two artists do come to mind when I think in terms of aesthetic appeal:1. Haruka Makita is a seriously talented artist that I admire for the atmosphere of her depicted figures' faces. She also has a gorgeous, raw, organic rhythm to her detail work that I would love to experiment with in other areas.2. I draw from Gobi's (Baptiste Gaubert) lively, distinctive character designs and colours. To be able to have that richness of form and confidence in gesture is ANY artists' dream, hah!
Exactly, for me that's the best manga I've read and still reading even my comic resembles bleach style of fights and attacks but I'm still not as good as him in drawing characters n backgrounds
A lot of people on deviantart and youtube inspired me to draw. I really loved oceantann (or oshaikeuchi formerly on youtube) Her videos were super motivators for me. Other artists include rosuuri and also formerly riniuu (she's been of the internet for a while due to an... incident...) For manga artists, I was really inspired by peach pit to get serious about drawing. Their series shugo chara and how it was drawn inspired me. Later on in life, I was really influenced my Sycra's videos on youtube and they really helped me see art from a different perpective.
Tite Kubo definitely, he had the biggest influence on me. Bleach was what got me into manga and into creating webcomics.

mike mignola is my role model and absolute favourite , the dark atmosphere he creates is the best for me, also i´ve always wanted to do something as dynamic as what yoh yoshinari does
