What can I do to improve my comic?

It seems like my views are dwindling and I think I'm doing something wrong with my comic Pixy Byte, although I still get good responses from people. What would make my comic more likable? Is there anything that you see that you like? Is there anything that you would change? What do you think needs improvement?
I have my own thoughts on what I think I could improve, but I'd love to hear what other's think and what fresh eyes see that I don't.

Your comic is very cute!
I think the issue might be that your updates are very small, especially considering your slower update frequency. People don't mind waiting a week for a substantial page update, but if it's just a one-panel episode or a quick gag, it might not be enough to hold people's interest. Slice-of-life and gag comics work best on a more frequent update schedule because of their brevity.

Other than that, do you do a lot of promotion on social media? Posting interesting content regularly on Facebook, twitter and the like will help you maintain a steady flow of traffic to your work.

You make a great point, thank you. I really don't update more than once a week, I've played with the idea of trying twice a week, I might give it a shot sometime. I do have a Facebook page that I update a little more frequently than Tapastic. I still post the once a week comic on there but sometimes sketches of the upcoming comic or photos. I don't have a Twitter because I always see that as something to have when you already have a steady following. Would that be beneficial for me now to have a Twitter with 19 subscribers on Tapastic and 75 followers on Facebook?

i've always done webcomics as a way to improve my art/writing/marketing all at once - and it really works if you try to make progress in all of those areas !
imo the best way to do that is to increase the quantity so you're working on more content and have more opportunities to get practice in. try new things! experiment with how you do your comic and how you run your internet persona
i would consider looking at some popular comics in the same genre. look at how they format, how they update, how they market
i really enjoy hearing the input other people have on creating comics, also. dirty old ladies is a good podcast to look into, and jamie noguchi has a great set of videos on youtube explaining different parts of the process.

as far as specific advice, i would encourage you to raise the dimensions of your comic! tapastic allows up to a 940px width, so that gives you a lot of freedom to work on a bigger canvas. some of your strips look a little squished. i can't say anything for the content itself since i've never worked on that kind of comic but i think you have lots of potential. don't give up c':

It couldn't hurt! Honestly I've only just jumped onto Twitter, so I'm still figuring it out. I say try every platform for a little bit and see what works best for you. I have artist accounts on most of the major social media platforms, but over time it's clear which ones work best for the kind of art I do. So you just gotta try them out for a little bit and see what happens!

I will definitely give Twitter a try! I am kind of dipping my toes in different places, I tried Deviantart and haven't had too much success there. Not much of a community, like here on Tapastic. I was going to try Instagram, because I've heard so many great things about it and I know so many people use it, although I'm having issues with the dimensions on Instagram because they don't seem to be very vertical comic strip friendly . What other places have you tried out?

you could always try drawing them on a larger canvas and then resizing when you post. ex i work on 1200x1800 px and then resize to 940x1410 to post on tapastic. the only thing to remember when you do that is that, if the text is too small to begin with, it will be difficult to read, so you have to use a larger font size

Personally I use Facebook, Tumblr, Deviantart, Wysp, Twitter, and Instagram, but I'd say I focus most of my energy towards Facebook and IG right now. I don't spend a whole lot of energy on Tumblr because it's not the best place for posting original artwork, but if you do fanart you're likely to find a following.

Yeah, Deviantart isn't the bustling art site it used to be; I started there in 2003 and it was a great place to grow your following and actually get comments and feedback. Nowadays it's really hard to get noticed, especially if you're just starting out. That's why I'm trying out Wysp-- it's a newer art website with a decently active user base and it's easier to find good art. With DeviantArt, I feel the overall art quality has really gone down the crapper and it's garnered a bad reputation because of it.
