What characters or real life people inspired you in the creation of your MC

As the title asks, what person or fictional character inspired the creation of your MC or was your MC just something you made on a whim and you put his characteristics together later on.

I got this idea from a topic i made some hours ago where someone said that the MC's way of talking made it hard for her to root for him, which is exactly what i wanted since at least at this point, my MC isn't supposed to be seen as an underdog or someone you can genuinely like 100%. So i thought about it, what inspired my character to be like that especially when me and my writer were discussing his characteristics and i started remembering stuff I've seen about celebrities and famous people, in this case especially Conor Mcgregor, the trashtalking, cocky, confident, asshole-ish(if that's a word) but weirdly likeable/charismatic MMA star.
So basically Conor Mcgregor would probably my biggest inspiration to my MC Luca Vincenzo, other inspirations for my MC would be fictional characters like Zuko from ATLA(character journey), Sanji (more cuz i hated Sanji's playboy character from time to time) and lastly Ichigo (sometimes its hard to tell what on his mind), from my favorite manga Bleach. I think there are probably some others I'm forgetting, but these 4 are my main inspirations.

My MC was definitely inspired by the character of Patrick Jane from The Mentalist. My character is basically Patrick Jane, if he could fight.

If anyone would be curious, he's the blurb for the book:

Fascinated by his father's profession, Nathan wants to follow in his footsteps and become an assassin.

When he receives an unexpected call giving an opportunity too good to refuse, unheeding his father’s warnings, Nathan joins Occidendum, a company of assassins.

My series is a novel. My main character was partially inspired by Jaime Sommers (Bionic Woman) and Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter). I also drew inspiration from Sgt. Carter from Hogan's Heroes. I really enjoy characters who are weird, yet geniuses in their field. Their team might tease them, but the team members are the first person to come to their weird coworkers aid when in trouble.

Hahah, Willy Wonka was a big influence for my MC at the time of writing XD I don't think it'll really shine through until later in the story though XD

The Idea behind my Main Character is an Anti-Hero. He's still likable but he is driven by selfish reasons. (That's not inherently a bad thing).

He isn't based on anyone in particular but I took some cues from Trickster Characters. His main method of Fighting is pushing people's buttons.

However I have seen similarities after the fact to other characters, such as Jack Burton from Big trouble in little China, and Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes. and maybe Ace Ventura too!

I don't really base many of my characters off of other characters. It's really more that I base them off of the music I listen to.

That's not to say there aren't minor influences. Rip has some character traits from Tintin, Monkey D Luffy, and two separate characters names Gon.

I based my whole story around people who I went to school with lol. Thinking back I am so glad most people in my school had such personality, or I would have died of boredom in a boarding school with next to no internet in the middle of butt F*** no where.

The main Character(Zach Carter) of "The Connections" was inspired by the ranger core from John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice and I added in a little of my own spice with the concept that one day we will run out of original Ideas, if and when someone does have an original Idea humanity will pay arm and limb for it.

Oh and What might that episode be? also I could only get into the first book of the Brotherband, it was a great idea to start with but after the second book it just got too side tracked in my opinion. Flanagan should of started on the royal ranger further into the story ark, probably after another few books of RA, I wish he would make a book one with another mention of the Wargals(one where Will or Horace recruits the Wargals as an army in the mountains of rain and night) and another book, one where the entire story ark of RA is reread but in the ranger horses point of view(the horses would like make snappy remarks and roast Will, Halt, and Gilan as they go through the story ark).

It was when Zach mentioned the cloaks he needed it reminded me of Flanagan’s cloak description just enough for me to wonder. I almost asked you about it in the comments, but it’s a surprisingly little-known series.

He clearly needed to write Brotherband and get it out of his head considering there’s, what, like 6 books in that series? I can’t really blame any author for writing what they need to write - he just happened to write the series that his readers liked better the first time round. And, who knows? Maybe there’s a whole group of readers than enjoy Brotherband that don’t appreciate Ranger’s Apprentice as much

The main character of my story is inspired by many magical-girl protagonists, and a common thread between them: the classic "I just want to be normal" trope, where they find themselves frustrated and disheartened by how fighting evil has affected their lives, but still continue to fight for those they love and all of humankind.

Or rather, Faye's an inversion of such—what if a magical girl who already saved the world just wants to be magical again?

Thou my characters aren't really based on single individuals in particular. I did had alot of influences.

Axelle, was more just influenced by wanting a very curious protagonist, which works well for a mystery comic. And thus she more of amalgamation of very bright and cheerful characters from cartoons. Like Goo from fosters home for imaginary friends, Fin from adventure time, ect.

Hila more particular was kinda based abit on my own childhood of girls who were very very very short but had the biggest amount of sass and outspokenness.

The rest were just odd quirks and stuff from kids from my own childhood and stuff
