What do I do with a completed comic promotion-wise?

Hey guys, I just finished posting my first comic and was wondering if anyone has any advice. What do you do with your comic afterwards? bc tapas is so episodic and long form driven, is there anything u do promotion-wise once a comic is completed?

There are many posibilities to promote your comic.

For Tapas:
-You can put a link to your comic below your user description.

-You can participate i self promo threads

-Create a fun self-promo topic game here (just make sure you are not spammy)

-Meet some artists

-Cross promotion with comics of similar genre/s

For outside of Tapas, you can check other websites that host webcomics and some art related or art-friendly websites like instagram.

Congratulations! A major completed project under your belt must feel amazing.

Here's a few things I would do in your situation:

• Have it prominently linked on your portfolio.
• Print it, and sell it at markets, conventions, book fairs, and other IRL places.
• Donate a few copies to libraries across your city.
• If there are any independent booksellers near you, see if they'll stock a small supply.
• Sell it on Etsy, or whatever your preference for online shop faces is.
• If/when you start a new comic project, include a link to this one under something like 'Other comics by Boyang Liu' whenever you promote the new one.
• If you haven't posted a mirror of your comic to WEBTOON, do that as well. You'll pick up new readers over there.

It's a stunning looking comic, so colourful and atmospheric, and I can't wait to read it.

Mirror it somewhere else, schedule the pages. It will be the same journey again but on a new platform with a new audience, and you won't have to draw anything.

I've done this same thing with my web novels and it's a pretty fun experience to see a brand new audience get to read your stories. Doing all the sites at once can feel overwhelming, so I like to delay them a little bit.

Other than cross-posting, I have no idea how to adequately promote completed work. I have two completed web fiction books and one published ebook, and I don't know how to get new people into them at all other than just hoping more people discover them via my new stories. If anyone knows, please tell me lol

There is a lot of trailers, and if you go to youtube and search 'trailer manga', 'trailer tapas', or something like that, you will find more! (I didn't knew of this subculture until some days ago neither)

Welp here's my trailer: [image] Now on a serious note. I've recently reached 100 subscribers on what initially was homework and that's i n s a n e. As a way to thank my readers, I've decided to put together this little trailer. Hope you like it, and again thanks to tapas and its community to allow me to do what I love. (Also, I'm gonna start uploading to webtoon again as to test the waters. Wish me luck!)
