What do you aspire for your comic?

I guess I want my project Hall of Heroes to maybe be bought by Marvel. I'd really love to work for them, and I think that the rest of the group will too.
Right now, I'm the only one doing comics in Hall of Heroes, and I am also in charge of writing a couple of stories which there is no rush for. However, my aim is to expand the group to the world of comics.

For me in the long run i really want my comic to not only be published and sold in stores but also to have it animated. However now im just trying to connect with other creators, sharing my comic, reading comics, etc.

For Shadowbinders we wanted to go beyond the web, into multi-media, gaming, animation, merchandising, etc. (still haven't given up on that.) We aspire for a lot, but I get that doesn't mean it will happen.

But, I have learned that what we aspire for might not all be just Shadowbinders. We do really well with it and it has opened many doors, but not all doors can be entered with this comic and some doors are open only because of this comic.

Platform....It's a double edge sword. We ran into trouble like @Kamikaze mentioned. Except ours was kind of backwards. We got turned down because our platform was "too large" and it has been "seen a lot already" and they wanted something new. So platform can work against you too (who knew!?!)

I think we aspire more for ourselves than just this comic (but I do love this comic) We are working on several different things right now and some of it is Shadowbinders and some of it is other stories and some of it is just us. I am super excited about all we have done and what we might get to do! Even if stuff doesn't go through, it was still amazing to know we got to try it! But seriously, I really want something to get through.

My husband though...he aspires for "World Domination" Just ask him. LOL

I want to make Zoonland into a book, once I finish it. And then submit to a publisher (even if it would be difficult to find one that publish this kind of stories ).
I always thought it could look good as an animated series too, but I love to dream big. One step at a time

I aspire to use my comic series Life of a Homeschooler as a sort of base for a book idea I've had for a pretty long time. It's basically a story filled with my dry sense of humor. I think this is a good way to practice and develop a style I could use for it (ok, I didn't get that idea for about 6 months into the comic, but the principle is still the same).
I figure this will be a pretty long project but I've spent over a year on one my comics, so what's one more?

For my first comic series - Moonlit Dawn - I aspire to take advantage of the saying "the sky's the limit!" I want to go to conventions, sell copies of the book, build the audience, make all sorts of items to help promote it to either sell or give away in contests (such as bookmarks, prints, keychains, etc...) and maybe pitch it someday to be an animated series or a movie when I have the series close to completed. Since this is my first series I want to push it as far as it can go and to be my top priority right now.

As for Between the Realms, honestly I just want to build the audience and share the story for more people to enjoy. I plan on possibly sending to publishers or maybe self-publishing since I don't think a lot of publishers would allow me to keep it as a webcomic. Someday I would like to sell copies of the comic at conventions but for BtR I want to take one step at a time and see where it'll take me

I hope the underlying theme of Et Spiritus Divino helps people feel less lonely and that despite the gods people follow, the God's themselves might have trouble being human with all we have to face and challenges we have to endure just for being a human. Be that physical, mental or spiritual struggles. We as people are beautiful just as we are and are capable of so much with our love, compassion and enthusiasm. We all share the planet and together we can harness the potential of what it means to be human and help each other through the harshness of the world.

I'm hoping to actually get to the drawing part of my comic. I'm still writing everything down and trying so much not to get stuck in the worldbuilding part of it but it's the most fun so far. I'm still trying though. I've gotten most of it down, but I still need designs for the characters.

For now, I'm practicing on a personal slice-of-life comic (Life Out Loud if you wanna take a look ^^)

My main goal though is to inspire someone. I hope one day someone can look at what I do and do something better because of it in the same way other artists and people have inspired me ^^ I know that's corny and mushy but it's the only reason I do do anything.

What I hope to show people with my comic is that everyone has a past to them. That everyone has suffered in their own way even if they don't show it. To show that people make sacrifices for the people they care about. That what really matters is someone's personality not their looks. That love can defy gender.

For my comic, The Chronicles of SolLuna, I want to eventually have my comic printed to sell at conventions and build an audience. I'm hoping to build a huge fanbase for the comic and perhaps, if it's possible, create either a 3d or animated series.

Too bad you don't know someone who animates, you could start off on youtube before being seen on the big screens. A few shows got there start like that.

I created my comic Psychosis (http://m.tapastic.com/episode/112588) to see where I stand art wise but mainly story wise. This is truly my first comic that I stuck too and love every page I do. It may start off slow but the story really takes flight around chapter 3 and 4 when the plot actually gets going.
If I can get it published on day that's fine I just want to see if there are other out there that loves it like I do. Then maybe this can get me started in the comic or ani.at ion business.

We know plenty of people who animate, including myself and my husband. That's where we got our start. Unfortunately, animation takes a lot of time, and a lot of money. To create animation of the caliber to match our comic would take MONTHS with only two of us...and that would only be a minute or so worth of finalized animation.

We could have gone with the animated short route for sure, but the way we see that is it goes off like a bottle rocket. It's out, and then it's over just as quick. With a comic the team not only get's to tell our story, our way, but we also prove that there's an audience and prove we know what we're doing when it comes to storytelling. We've seen too many folks in the industry pitch, and then find out that they'll have very little creative imput what-so-ever. Sure it can be worked into the contract, but that's how 'creative differences' happen, and the creators are ousted from the property they created all together.

We aren't about that life.
