What do you aspire for your comic?

hey! This is a tread where you can talk about what you expect to come out of your comic in the future! Maybe you wanna make it into a book, sell it to a publisher, etc etc!

I my self hope that my comic,Trapped in a Procrastinator, helps me get back into the swing of drawing so I can make even better comics! I just love to share what I draw with people c:

Hi, my comic is called Tower25 you can find it here. Ive been fortunate in securing a publisher for my book this year. I would like to get more subscribers here and on webtoons. I hope that my work will help inspire others that are dealing with addiction, homelessness, mental illness. I also hope that those who read my story will share it with anyone they think it might help out.

When we originally created Kamikaze, my team and I were pitching it as an animated series to various TV networks in the US. We got fairly far, talking to folks at Frederator, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and others. However, while all of them loved the artwork and the story, we didn't have an 'established audience.' Basically that meant: "This is really good, but you're not Batman. Lolz BYE."

So we created the series as a comic as a way of proving our concept and we've done really well this way. Even though we're doing great as a webcomic, we're still hoping to see our girl animated one day. We aspire to turn our comic into an animated series.

Until then, we're going to be publishing our first trade of the comic around March this year! \o/

My main goal is to have my stories as books, I'll self-publish if I have to. But it would be grand if they eventually get a cult following like Homestuck.

Been dreaming about turning my story into a multimedia franchise for as long as I can remember. I have so many concepts and drafts for things other than the comic, it's ridiculous (and just not doable with only one person working on it). If I had to name more specific goals, it would be an animated series and a rhythm game, hands down. And then audio dramas, other games, music collections, a light novel--er, you see where this is going. (laughs)

I'm done wasting time thinking about how impossible this seems, because clearly these types of goals are only literally impossible if you don't try at all. Here's to getting one step closer to our dreams in 2016!

For now, I just want to focus on building my audience for Cosmos Song since I literally just started on it a month ago, so that is my main goal at the moment. As for long term aspirations, I would love to be able to publish physical copies of the comic someday. Another thing i'd like to do is turn it in to an animated series with voice acting and all. That's probably shooting far but I can strive for it!

I hope that my comic will cheer people up and maybe help some people deal with grief.
But I mostly hope it starts off my career as an artist

Ah, turning The Lostland into a book has always been the dream to shoot for, though it's always gonna be a webcomic. I guess after that, I'd like to one day see people create their own adventures/stories with the setting and add to the history of the world I'm creating, it's partly why I titled my comic the way I did, and what I hope the game would help do.

That second one's a loooong ways away from happening, but it's something to look forward to in the future.

I would like some sort of following for Cosmic Fish, to be honest but I think that's a common wish among plenty of storytellers as well as print out the books in some form or another. Much like Gone Fishing which at least has a more probable print for it being stand alone and in short segments in an anthology.

But the main goal for Cosmic Fish (and all of its sub-comics) is set a comforting notion at where are in the universe. Like, regardless what a lot of cosmic horror covers in the sense that we're insignificant or the jab that we should just embrace Albert Camus’ absurdism by just choosing to ignore the notion and embrace the lack of knowing, to find a healthy in between and accept that even if it's a speck floating in the ocean of the universe, we choose to give it meaning. And that is more important than the "grand scale of things".

...Which is guess it's still absurdism oops hahaha.

After that's finished, I'll start new story and the plan will be the same.

To be the greatest artist in the world! Muahahaha- actually, nah. I really just want to improve my drawings, get a large fan base, and then make a career somehow out of Pixy Byte while collaborating with others and branching out to different things. Doesn't sound too easy now that I've written it out...

My main project Nana-Hon no Ken is something I started in order to polish my art and writing skills. So I wasn't really aiming for something big here, but I kinda am now. I'm remaking the 1st chapter with better art and story to self print it and sell it at comic cons and eventually make it available as ebook. I'm also going to sell posters and other thing related to Nana-Hon no Ken. But in general I want to keep all the content of the original work for free.

That's one thing, on the other side, I'm starting Japanese degree next year. After that, I plan to move to Japan and try to get published with a company there. But I don't want them to touch this one I'm doing now, if possible I would like to rewrite it and self publish it properly again in some distant future.

With my main comic series Seishin Patona, I want to get published as an eBook so I can have it sold digital and it doesn't cost extra to print it. My secondary comic In The Midst, I plan to keep it on social networks like here and Deviant Art so I can post something so it doesn't seem like I vanished off the face of the web once I posted enough of the comic .

I don't have the comic out on Tapastic yet but may as well say it now then never. (The comic I'm working on at the moment is called KUMOKOKORO) I hope to someday publish it in a graphic novel format physically and digitally, because I like reading my comics like that honestly. I also hope to sell stuff like merchandise for it like shirts, posters, possibly figures. I could see it happening but it's just a dream I want to achieve.

What I aspire and what I expect are not the same. My expectations are uncertain at best.

I aspire to tell the story of my characters and do it justice. I have a long way to go till I have enough skill to pull that off, which is not a good situation... but what other choice do I have? Wait until I magically gain more skill? It doesn't work that way.
