D: omg why would you do that im so pussy that listening to that shit scares me when its broad daylight let alone at night

I find that video game music is very good when I really need to focus.
But otherwise, I tend to listen to youtuber vloggers in the background. (Some are art related, some are just people telling stories.)

I honestly find listening to a person's voice speaking to be comforting when I'm working in the wee hours of the morning. Unless it's totally not your thing, I would recommend looking into finding some vloggers who talk about topics that are relevant to your interests! (It'd probably be better if they were the type to just talk rather than ones where visuals are more important.)

Edit: Comedians would also be good for this!

Listening to audiobooks is a great idea that for some reason only dawned on me yesterday after I got bored of music. I listened to "The Lurking Fear" and "The Dunwich Horror" while coloring last night. To my surprise I was able to pay attention to the story! Neat suggestion about radio dramas btw.

I either listen to MST3K/Rifftrax or Two Best Friends Play videos, but recently I've been into Jaidenanimations and 0dd1sout since a lot of their stories are similar to what my comics are about.

I usually listen to music that fits what I'm drawing, or just have an art stream in the background. I can't have youtube because I get distracted.

Depends on my mood that day.

Sometimes I listen to movie soundtracks, other timesmy playlist which includes 80s rock bands like Motley Crue, Def Leppard, etc...

Other times unique stuff from bands like Nightwish...

Or recently I had the entire show mXC playing off YouTube. What is mXc? One of most hilariously English dubbed over bizarre Japanese game shows ever...

I listen to songs ranging from 50's to 80's. Some are slow, some are fun. Never too distracting.

music videos in Youtube and crime scene shows base on true events(I like crime scene shows) and mp3 song

Mostly trance. Weekly A State of Trance and other radio shows.

I think I'm going to give mXC a try.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, if anyone likes Dickinson parodies, I recommend the completely non-serious radio comedy Bleak Expectations. All of it's on Youtube, and I've been marathoning it for the last few days.

recently, ive been listening to a lot of the adventure zone - a dnd podcast - i know its ridiculously nerdy, but its really fun and my girlfriend likes it.

other than that, i largely listen to music - new music, or rapping, bc both require more verbal attention than i can spare when doing anything other than drawing, which is fairly wordless.

I usually don't listen to music while drawing, and sometimes I have the TV on in the background while drawing. I like to listen to techno, trance or 80's rock music to help me get me focused and energized to draw again.

I sometimes hear comedians such as Bo Burnham and George Carlin (favorite by the way).

On YouTube, I listen to 80s Japanese music. I really enjoy it. How I discovered it, let me just say that it was just in my recommendations for some reason. I also type some songs/music videos that I know, and Game Grumps. I listen to some bands/singers. I didn't list them so that my reply wouldn't be so long because I really would go in depth and type paragraphs. If you want me to tell you some recommendations, feel free to ask.

Yeah, music can get kind of tiring. What helps me is to listen to different stuff, sing it, or just taking a nap/break (or something).

Speed paints on YouTube are better than art tutorials: (1) you can hear new music, (2) some actually give you advice, and (3) the person drawing can talk about stuff. Yeah, the art tutorials aren't so great. I think it's better to talk to someone who is an artist as well, but I'm not sure because I never tried that. I don't have any artist friends.

I like listening to:
You reposted in the wrong thread
a-ha - Take on me
Saint pepsi-enjoy yourself
Vaporwave
Daft punk
and lots of other stuff
Like Vinny from vinesause
Vsause
and uhh... gaming sins and cinama sins

I would listen to various kinds of music like pop, rock, video game music, techno/electric, anime/J-Pop. But I really like to draw while listening to podcasts.
