What do you look at people's walls for?

I was wondering if an announcement posted on a wall without notifying subscribers has any chance to be discovered?

Do you people look at other's walls?

If yes, what is the reason?

I often find myself looking at somebody's profile to see where they are from, out of curiosity. Also, to find other series by the author, but I often find it next to the comments below an episode.

I realized I rarely read what people have on their walls (without being notified as a subscriber). Before I would sometimes scroll through the thank you for sub pictures but now the walls are flooded with likes I sometimes only look at the image tab.

What about you? Do you look at people's walls?

If you're a creator, do you always check Notify subscribers before posting something so that at least somebody sees it? Or does a lot of people see it even if you don't check it?

Usually I'll look at other people's wall to read their descriptions about themselves and see if they have a link to a tumblr or something.
As for posting on my own wall, I don't do that often, and when I do it's always aimed at subscribers so I'll definitely check the notify bell.

I don't look at other people's wallls as a habit. I await notifications.

I only notify my subscribers when I have an announcement.

I hate the way the walls look now.

I rarely look at other people's walls, unless there's a notification. I, myself, don't post announcements/drawings/etc. on my own wall (not anymore) because I always think I bother people, and yeah I notify my subscribers, but I don't really get much of a response. Haha.

The only time I look at someone's wall was if I was going to private message them, or if I'm interested in their bio after looking at their comic.

Well, or if I'm going to post a thank-you note, too. I find (or, used to find, before the torrent of likes & comments) comics by posting thanks messages and scrolling through other people's messages to see if anything looked interesting to read.

I look from times to times at people's wall to see their description, if they got other websites, if they got any series or what they read.
.... Basically everything. Now I feel like I stalk users. XD
Mostly, it happens when someone new comment a page, or if I want to know more about a creator!

I look at people's walls sometimes to read the wall posts I was notified of. Sometimes I get curious about a creator or reader after reading an interesting comment or comic made by them and I check out their description. Other times I go to readers' walls to leave private messages about stuff...

The last part is kinda hard to do because for some reason, you can't search for non-creators with Tapastic's search bar. You gotta dig through comments to find them and typing out Tapastic.com/(insertnamehere) doesn't work either (I've tried many times with the correct spelling of their names. Why.). >_>

I Don't usually check on people's wall unless I'm being notified of something...
I have this strange notion of being a stalker if i do (yea i know its just me >w< )
The only time I will is probably when P.M somebody... yea that's all I do nowadays Xd

I mostly drop by people's walls and check them out if a.) they've subscribed to my comic, or b.) I've subscribed to theirs. I like knowing a little about my readers, and about the people whose work I read. Also, if there's a comic I'm considering subscribing to, but I'm not sure, I'll check out the creator's profile first. Sometimes (though never on Tapastic so far!), I come across creators who hold views that I am not comfortable with or agree with (racism, homophobia, sexism, etc.) and then I cannot in good conscience subscribe to their comic.

The only things I've posted on my wall so far have been thank-yous for subscriber milestones, which I notify subscribers for - and people have read and commented on those!

I don't really use my wall for anything else; if I want to talk to people, there's always the forums, and they can follow me on Twitter if they want to hear me babble about things. If I have anything other than milestone-thank yous or big announcements relevant to the comic (going on hiatus, changes in updating schedule, etc.), I keep that in the comments below the pages. Some people are reading Grassblades just because they want to read Grassblades; they don't need to be flooded with announcements of sales on Society6 or non-Grassblades events that I'm running on Tumblr.

So all in all, a post without notifying subscribers is rarely seen... Hm, maybe when the staff changes the walls so that the flood of likes and comments doesn't show there (I would like to know of one person who actually WANTS to see those likes and comments on other's walls!), people may pay more notice to the wall content.

I find it really hard to post something on my wall because it just feels scary to click "notify subscribers" knowing the update will arrive to so many people's mail boxes! >_<; I always think again again if the post was really all that interesting.......

So far I have just posted 3 times on my wall with the notify on - first I was totally excited from a super cute caterpillar I had seen on a living invertebrates exhibition and just wanted the world to see how cute it was
Second time I wanted to see if people would be interested in a comic I want to do so I sent a picture and only the third time it was something really important.
All these were posted at a 3 day interval and I had a terrible feeling I had annoyed the subscribers with these... But then again, I'm subscribed to a few comics that send notifications to their wall posts all the time it starts to feel a tiny bit bothering even to the hard-to-displease me It's hard to find a balance, I guess.

At the same time, I was really surprised that people actually read those creator comments under an episode - for me it took a while to get used to paying attention to them. It's nice to learn what technique the creator used or what we should pay attention to, or as creator getting answers from readers to questions posted in the creator comment
