I listen to a lot of stuff, Music, Video rants, Audiobooks. I just enjoy listen to interesting stuff while drawing.

I have a playlist for each character that helps me write for them. It really helps me keep them from going out of character.

So I listen to specific music to get my mind in a particular zone before I write, but when I actually write it, has to be silent with slight ambient sound in the background. If it's too quiet my ears will focus on stuff too much, but if there's actual music or lyrics going I won't be able to think of words because I'll be mentally singing along.

So when I write a book I have to listen to either the same album or the same song before I write each chapter. But I might listen to a different album or set of songs when working on a different book.

Pretty much each of my books has a unique sound track because of this.

The vibe and tone of the music helps me to consistently write in the same style. I don't know if anyone else is like this but it works for me.

Sad chilled-out ambient stuff or J-Rock with lyrics I don't understand. English words distract me while writing in English! So if I know less about what's going on in a song or if it's minimal amounts of English, that's what works for me!

This is non-negotiable, y'all :triumph:

I sort of half-watch YouTube videos. I can listen to music just fine, but podcasts, for whatever reason, I tune out. I think having the video feed up, and glancing up at it now and then, helps me both draw and listen. Helps me cut down my 'watch later' list, too.

when I'm writing for an episode, listening to a music that fits the mood is a great motivator and brainstormer.
When I'm drawing though, I usually have on a youtube let's player so I can be entertained

I sometimes listened to music but I mostly opened YouTube and look for whatever long video that interest me. Lately I've been into icebergs, but my interest range is pretty wide. I did this not only for drawing for for other things that doesn't really required my brain to focus on what was in my hand.

For writing, I sometimes opened music but it usually ended up being a background sound I forgotten existed or just silence because they ended up distracting me.

Music. Always. I mostly listen to different kinds of rock and metal mixed with videogame OSTs. I might even be stuck for hours on listening to one song, because it's perfect for what I'm actually drawing. xD

Mostly podcasts when I’m drawing but when it comes to thinking of dialogue I prefer to listen to osts (anime, drama) or piano covers, as long as it doesn’t have lyrics :’)

I have few playlist with songs i listen to when i'm writing whole plot , and ones with songs connected to characters

I watch let's plays or listen to music. Recently I've found that Bardcore stuff really sets the mood

Lyricfree music such as OST's, BGMs from video games or movies, or just normal classical.

85% Music 10% Random videos and 5% intellectual Conversations :sip:

(Cough, cough* I totally forgotten about the Silence.... uhh we just gonna add that somewhere in between Random Videos and the 5%- .. :smug_01:)

Usually I listen to music, and occasionally radio dramas, and historical videos. If I happen to find a good book to listen to, I will also listen those. I listen to a-lot of movie soundtracks, pop, rock, country, synth-ambient, as well as orchestra music. So I have a pretty wide variety to pick from, it keeps things interesting!

It all depends on the genre I'm writing! If I'm writing a purely fantasy-oriented book then I'll probably listen to Vindsvept or any other artist that makes fantasy music! However, if I'm writing darker content then I tend to listen to anything that gives me a more dystopian type of feel or just gives me a feeling of being on the edge of my seat. ^o^

I usually listen to music, but when I feel like it I also listen to video essays on youtube.

Music, mostly games soundtracks (Folklore, Witcher, Final Fantasy, Persona, Legend of Zelda, Bastion, Hades) and I have a few special playlists I listen to all the time. Also a lot of rain/thunderstorm, frequently together with music  I can't concentrate on the speech when drawing, so podcasts and audio books are impossible to listen, and I absolutely can't sit in the silence, it's killing me.

I always have youtube stuff on the background. I listen to music, documentaries, commentaries, reviews, video essays, lore videos, let's plays and re-listen my fav youtubers' videos. Lol, I don't think I've actually watched a video on youtube for a while.

I usually have a song I'm into at the moment that I play on repeat till I get tired of it. I get too easily distracted if there's no music but also if the music changes. The repetitiveness of a song helps me get into an almost trance-like groove I guess. XD

I listen to a variety of stuff, depending on my mood.

If I don't want to get distracted, I put on our local jazz station.

If I don't want jazz, I put on my "favorites" list on YouTube, or I find some albums or stuff I want to hear.

Often, I'll have videos or podcasts playing in the background, if I'm not doing something that takes my full attention.

Synthe & lo-fi, songs in other languages (La Femme is a favorite), techno or anime sounds tracks are also goodies I like to listen to. Just depends on my mood.

I listen to classical music, or sometimes anime music
