@Pandastrophic
Thank you for referring me to a comic that you like! I will totally check it out and see what it has to offer. I love comics that delve into multiple genre, especially when one of those is horror. Thank you for your suggestion with colors and b/w. c:
@ikushina
I do too! I think the lack of color forces you to put yourself into the work. YOU have to decide what colors they are wearing, YOU have to decide how pale they get, YOU create the monster in your own way. Idk if you feel the same but that's my opinion. But I have been reading manga since I was 6 or so, so I am used to black and white. So I just wanted to make sure I wasn't still in the dark.
If you ever want some manga suggestions, feel free to message me and I will send you a link to them. Uzumaki really was genius, but I would also suggest a tamer, but still fantastic "Tomie" for you. It is a little graphic, but if you got through Uzumaki, you will be just fine. c:

You know, I have watched The Shining but never really thought about how it was filmed. You're right, it was a really "bright" movie. Another movie that does that is also It Follows, but I guess it was not as unique as I thought. I had not thought about the whole narration part, so thank you for mentioning that. I do enjoy watching the characters go through the tortures of what I am putting them through, rather than reading a book. I mean, I would just read a book.
I hope you don't mind, but I do read your work and so I know how well you pull off a very dark and threatening atmosphere. Would you mind telling me how you've managed to perfect it? When I read on Junji Ito and Kazuo Umezu, they told the reporters that they just drew what they thought was scary. Are you afraid of your characters? Or have you practiced enough to know what you are doing? (If this oversteps anything, please forgive me, I am just asking as many questions as I can from everyone)
Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions. C:
@DynamoToon
Would you mind linking me to it? Or sending me a message when you post your comic?
Jeez, you're totally right about PT. And if you've ever played Presentable Liberty you never see Dr. Money, either. I guess you need to just play psychological games, keep people asking questions even after it ends?
@ChanYE
If you would like, I would be happy to send you some horror manga that you can read online for free. They are fan dubbed, but I promise they are very good. Let me know if you would like that. You can message me here or on Tapastic, my usernames match. c:
So navy blue, crimson red, dirt brown, that kind of color palate? I hate it when they sexualize everything too. I don't care about boobs or tentacles or whatnot. I would watch Yuri if I was interested in that. (Are you referencing Corpse Party, par chance?)
Thank you so much for your comments and suggestions. c:
@Miokka
Oh! So like hidden references? Please link me your story whenever you are finished. I would love to read something you have put so much heart and soul into. I am trying to do that while I am drawing out my story board, you know every little detail, but what I am having problems with is monsters and character designs.
