What does your username mean?

I used to have a magical girl comic called Butterfly Rose back when I was in middle school. The name of the mystical queen who gave the girls their powers was named Queen Mariposa. I've since dropped the story, but kept Mariposa as my mascot. When I made a 2nd DA account I couldn't use the same name so I changed it to Butterfly Empress. There are some sites I'm on that use the Queen Mariposa though.

Indigo is my favorite color and I always drew my avatar in an indigo colored deep v-neck shirt. When I was 18 I wanted to re-brand since I was make more social media accounts for myself (previously my account on deviantart was just my initials and a few numbers). So I went with IndigoShirtProductions. But that's a pretty long name so I had to shorten it to IndigoShirt or IndigoShirtProd on some places. Ironically I don't have a shirt of that color nor do I have any experience in making shirts. In that way, the name is a bit misleading . Also my personal logo is based off my avatar:

I had to go through many passes before I got it right.

Mine is based on my real name. Gabbie comes from my middle name, and Wolf is my actual last name. Though I'm sure that the fact that I use a dog as my profile picture might make it seem like Wolf is made up.

When I was in hight school, my sister and I invented a method to convert our names into a different word, so Cristina became Azifri. Don't ask me how it worked because we can't remember I do recall it was complicated and made little sense, but whatever ^^

Well I wanted a cool name and since I’m into Asian culture hardcore (Japanese) at the time I thought “Tanako”, was cool. I didn’t research it, just made it up only to one day decided to look into it and found out it’s a name of a “camp” Camp Tanako. As I broke it down this is what it really means

Tana: furniture 店
ko: child 子
So it’s written this way: 店子 and those are the characters I use as my signature to sign my images and prints.

So “furniture child”, 🏾
I was like “OH NO”, at first then later I was like, at least it’s unique so 🤷🏾‍♀️ Meh, I like it regardless.

It's just my name. It's how I sign and copyright my artwork so I figure it's the easiest thing to have as a username for anything involving the comic

Oh yes, I forgot the most important.

That was the name I made for my first Skyrim character. I wanted a typical last name, but a non-existing first name, so that I could not possibly bump into a NPC with the same first name. So I made up 'Vothn' on the spot as a very vaguely Scandinavian sounding, but not possible name.

I started using it on forums later, and it quickly became my favorite pseudonym. I used pseudonyms for as long as I can remember because I never felt any connection to my (strongly gendered) birth name; but until I found 'Vothn', I was changing constantly, and thus keeping them uniquely for online things. But this one is the good one. Have been using it since 2012 and it's now creeping into real life.
