What funny/cool coincidences have happened for you and your series?

What I mean by that is literally what things in your offline life, away from your creations have aligned with your creations? The funniest one for me actually happened when I first began writing my series "Red Shift". About a week into writing the dang thing, I got electrocuted. (Yes, I'm ok and no I don't have any lasting heart damage. Happened because of a faulty plug in my bathroom. The electricity went through my right hand, through my chest, and out the left. I have some small scars but that's it. I got to the ER pretty quickly. So, it's chill for me to laugh when thinking about it.)

Why is it a funny coincidence? The main character of my book uses a weapon that sparks electricity.

Right when I was putting my comic up on Tapas a guy messaged me saying he was going to call his comic Ragtime, the name I picked for my comic. Two comics called Ragtime coming out a few days apart, what are the chances?

You might need to check you house's ELCB. it should prevent you from getting electrocuted like that by tripping itself.
For the safety, call an electrician to see if your ELCB function as it supposed to be. It is matter of life and death.
Every faulty plug in bathroom should trip the breaker. Also check if your breakers are over current or not.

Oh, we did! This was many years ago at this point and we no longer live in the house. But we sure did when it happened. Someone came and fixed the problem. Was pretty scary at the time. I barely remember this but my mom said that I walked upstairs and showed my hand to her just like "hey... is this ok???" (it looked like fish scales had been made into my skin)

Mine is very wip, but the MC (gae af) pushes the princess (biromantic aka bisexual and asexual) into a closet during a werewolf attack cause MC is a knight. And she says something like, "stay in the closet!" And at the time I was like yeah cool, and when I reread it I'm like, holy I'm a genius.

Little did i know before i posted my series, that my protagonist/series name 'MAOR' is also Hebrew word of 'light', 'luminary'. I really hope they don't go after me when they find out. sweat

I have a character named Shoo-Fly, he is an awkward yet clingy man who does plant magic. He is named after the old American song. I later on learned that shoo-fly is also the name of a weed. And I think describing my character as a weed is fitting.

For me the funny stuff was with my characters names, Osram and Xenon. For Xenon I knew it was also an element used in some car lights. But then I figured out, Osram was also a well known factory for lightbulbs... So I have two characters, who are lightbulbs but aren't very bright actually...

My artist name Calida is also a known underwear brand...

Well if you refer to my series name: I don't think I got out, yet? Maybe they haven't notice or it's not a big deal? As Maor is also a Jewish name for boys.(then again mine is a fictional character & unintentionally).

I don't know how a Jewish person would react to this.
I'm not planning on real-publishing my series though.

Jeah, I feel you. I sometimes think about renaming my character Osram as it might give problems later on, especially because her name is also in the series title. then again, we both didn't have ill intentions with our characters names. And I really feel attached to her name now. So I don't feel too bad about it.

My almost 3 year old comic has a friend group of five friends. Not even a year later I gained a friend group where we also are five. I didn't have offline friends when I started making that comic. I just think that's neat.

I've been here for only a year now, but I found it interesting how 2 out of 7.8 billion people can have a very similar premise for their stories (teams involved with multiverse-shenanigans), which generally differ a lot though!
I enjoy reading said person's comic a lot, they make the character interactions feel very natural! :3

I was writing a chapter for my chat-based story when my sibling just texted me 'why do capitalism just destroy everything instead' and I swear that was the opening sentence for the chapter (I was writing the end of the chapter when my sibling texted me). I freaked out so bad and didn't write anything for a week or so lol
