haven't played it yet but i'm about to check out the knockout city demo on switch. the only thing i remember is the trailer and then one lets play from berleezy and his squad
also finally coming back to acnh since i havent touched my island in what feels like forever so it's mostly a lot of cleanup and rearanging furniture to keep the HHA off my back (i also really wanna keep my 5 star rating). i'm really hoping we get some kind of big update soon tho. as much as i enjoy taking it easy decorating, buying stuff and chillin with the animals seeing new content would be fun plus a lot of people seem to be desperately holding out hope for brewster. the most interesting thing that's even happened was me finally managing to wrangle up enough bells to finally get that million bell gold crown at the able sisters
that aside i'm still playing hades and honestly just kinda grinding for gems, darkness and other stuff to level up the mirror, unlock upgrades to the house, level up keepsakes and if i'm lucky get my heat gauge high enough to get into erebus (i know curiosity killed the cat but i need to see whats in there). i'm also hopefully making progress with the story, i'm about to do a run focused purely on interactions with chaos so hopefully things work in my favor
I've been playing Alien: Isolation recently. Really solid horror game, I'm on a second playthrough and it's super fun and tense, ignore the IGN review and try it if you like first person survival horror, it's one of the best.
Also, my friend was watching me play recently and kept photoshopping my avatar into screenshots she was taking.
Got to try out knockout city! it's tougher than i expected but fun when you figure out how to navigate the chaos. don't think i'll buy the full game when it comes out but i'll be playing the demo for as long as it's available. I think I only managed to win one game with my team but it was a lot of fun. it's also a lot easier being the ball than trying to track one down
also got back into unison league and i'm playing through more cegris story
story spoilers
the fifth stage caught me with some of the dialouge with falsa since he's still grieving the loss of filo but apparently since she's tied to ahura mazda there's a chance she might come back so i'm genuinely trying to grind to get through the story to see
also finally managed to hop into one of the guild battles and won! it's lucky i managed to hop into a good guild. also also trying to level up a bunch of my ssr gear to ur and enlighten what i can but it's insanely hard to not run out of augment mats so i'm probably gonna grind for those along side playing thorugh the story mode. there's also trying to get the very last lancer class open but the tower of judgement is a beech so i'll def have to upgrade my stuff if i wanna get far enough/get enough "lancer's conviction" to unlock it. more than anything i'm really hoping to see another collab event. another vocaloid/hatsune miku one would be so fun plus the collab songs are always good
playing more ko city and there's more moment again where i feel like i'm carrying... i need like one multiplayer game where i'm not carrying and have like strong teammates. i've had a few balanced matches but it's either other team is really good and everyone else is meh or both teams are good but lag is the mutual enemy. i know i'm doing well cause i've managed multi ko's a few times and gotten mvp but it's just...ygh. i've also just opted to form my own crew but like i need people to join. praying i don't get stuck with anymore ball hogs tho it's getting tiiiring
i'm also trying to dip my toes back into hades. i keep trying to figure out the best pact punishment combos so i'm not slowing myself down too much but so i can also get the rewards available for certain heat amounts and maybe finish the house upgrades. i'm also hoping to max out the mirror of darkness but i think it's gonna take looping some areas or something. if anything i think it's just a cooldown game for me now, so i'll just sit and chill in asphodel with euridice or listen to orpheus that or hang in the fountain rooms or first chambers (the ambients are nice)
knockout city block party demo ended so i'm currently inbetween acnh and unison league
for acnh specifically i'm trying to track down the rest of the beetles in the critterpedia and i'm pretty sure it's the ones who sit on tree stumps so i'm going through figuring out where to put extra trees to chop down later purely for the sake of bug hunting. also fleshing out empty spots on my island since i don't think i'll be getting the rest of the fruit i need (afaik the only means of securing them is trading and i lack friends) so i've stuck down a pond using custom designs from the portal, some picnic spots and a small beekeeping area. i'm doing my best to not get bored with the game but with not a lot of explicitly new stuff it's losing its charm.
unison league is doing a little better since today marked the start of the 2021 miku expo collab so there's a bunch of new spawns for collab gear and monsters plus they've got the expo's theme (highlight by kira) playing throughout the game. i've already finished all the collab quests (just trying to collect event items to exchange for gear) so now i'm grinding through the story quests to earn gems for the collab spawns
i've honestly got a small handful of games i've been wanting to buy but it's just a matter of acquiring funds for it. unironically, aside from ko city, untitled goose game has moved itself to the top of my wishlist especially after my sibling put me on to berleezy's playthoruugh of the game, it just looks fun
Some of this...with the lack of quality in the past few updates(can we get MORE storage), I find myself becoming a little disenchanted with the game at times. I've currently been on a tear, trying to complete my critterpedia, as well as get an idea of where I want to start building/designing this eatery(finally decided that I wanted to create a ramen joint; had to endure hell doing the time travel thing to go back and get the ramen bowls). Also trying to spruce up my hedge maze area coz it looks a little "meh"...only thing that sucks is the current custom design stuff I've come across kind of lacks(I want a really nice looking wood floor surface that I can use when I start building the eatery).
The good thing is that I do have that fam member bartering system, coz I really hate when they(the game/system) are holding out on me with stuff(looking at Celeste withholding that moon rover DIY, the moon DIY, and the moon surface DIY ). Finally got the berry chocolate flooring I was trying to get from Saharah(today).
@VibrantFox about the fruit- I might be able to help. Had a person who helped me out, and I'm looking to pay it forward...
UPDATE: Got the moon DIY from Celeste last night...fam is prolly gonna be mad coz they've been wanting this DIY for months; they made a moon/space area on their island and been screaming for Celeste to give them the moon DIY and the moon surface/flooring DIY(but they have the moon rover DIY which I dont have)
Also they are "sharing" their island with their kiddo(who barely even plays) so a lot of stuff that they could've been getting to themselves, they're having to split rewards & not getting everything; their kiddo has the DIY for the moon surface/flooring...
Ended up using the summer shell DIYs(wallpaper/flooring/rug) on my bathroom instead of the berry chocolate flooring- my bathroom looks cool af; debating about putting a palm tree lamp in there, but I have the shell lamp so...
Think I'm gonna get more hydrangea bushes and change out the shrubs around the island; then after that- and growing a few more cherry & pear trees, I can start working on the eatery idea.
My brother gave my sister a bunch of games for her birthday, so I decided to try one of them out. I think it is too early to have a full opinion on the game but so far I am a bit on the fence. I enjoy Level5's game design (also a fan of Yokai Watch) however I strongly dislike the MC and I hate how slow it is. Hopefully it picks up.
Still doing the Animal Crossing thing...built the moon for fam(went to their isle to cash in my turnips) on Friday; today I've been just trying to grind & get things done. Finally built the popsicle booth I was planning to use the snowflake-pop DIY for; also the customize feature makes them different flavors so that is cool. I removed a few bushes in front of my resident services area to expand where I have the cotton candy/gumball/popcorn machine- it seemed the only logical place to put the popsicle booth. I ordered a table to set the shaved ice maker on, but I'm not sure it'll work. I had an ice cream cone lamp that I placed beside the booth, but I ordered the rainbow cone because I think it will work better...if the table doesnt look right, then I'll just DIY a table and go with that.
Here's what I got so far:
UPDATE: Got the stand/booth looking the way I want; also grew a 3rd pear & cherry tree- relocated them to the main part of my island and I'm now growing pear & cherry trees #4...I'm having to get rid of a few hardwood & apple trees, but I'm good with that(I have WAY too many trees, but makes good for summer right now with all the bugs). In the next week I'll have to get rid of a few more and relocate my 2nd pond to make space for my ramen joint; I may have to shift my picnic area a little further south...
I'll keep that stall/booth space year round and turn it into a coffee stand in the fall & winter.
Growing a 2nd set of orange pansies; trying to figure the combination to grow green mums...and the blue rose is still eluding me and fam.
Finally started laying down the work on the ramen joint on my island; looks pretty nice so far...
Also moved my 2nd pond to the right side of my island; shuffled my picnic areas down a bit to make room for the new additions...
Just waiting on MORE items for the ramen joint that I ordered-now that I figured out customizing the simple panels for walls to use in this project, I'll be adding few each day until I get the desired effect that I want. I wish I could've customized and added table cloths or placemats for the tables; also wish I could use rugs on the custom flooring...will be using [customized] zen pillows for the seating. I experimented with the zen pillows customizing my kotatsu cloth and pillow seating in my kitchen.
still playing hades and acnh but i was checking out game demos and there's this point and click style murder mystery game called tangle tower they had in the switch eshop. even though the demo's short it's really interesting where interacting with the environment can help you find clues and things and then there puzzles and other things scattered about. the dialouge seems really fun as well and for something that was probably about 10-15 minutes worth of play i'm pretty fond or at least very interested in one of the main characters sally spears. i can't get the full version now (maybe my bday next month) but it's gone onto the wishlist with a handful of other games
I've been slowing down on Monster Hunter Rise because I have a lot of farming to do to make end-game weapons but it's still a ton of fun.
I started playing Chivalry 2 on PS4 and in the four days I've had it it's crashed three times, probably the most a game has ever done that to me on Playstation so I dunno wtf is up with that. Entertaining but I guess my connection to their servers isn't great. I'm not very good at hand-to-hand yet (you know, the whole point of the game) but I'm a total dick with a crossbow though.
In ACNH news: RNGesus answered my prayers yesterday and Admiral asked me if he should move off of my island and I almost screamed in relief. We've been trying to get that green asshole to leave for MONTHS. We didn't choose to let him move in, the game picked him out for us after someone else moved out. He's packing up today but he left me with this chilling parting message...:
There has been this one game that I been trying for years to find and play. And I FINALLY found a way to play it. It's called Stay Tooned! and it is really weird and unfortunately very obscure. The only reason I know what it is it appeared as a trailer on a copy of Math Blaster Algebra. It must have been like 15 years searching for it, and I guess I am happy that I finally experienced it.

I also played Sim Town recently out of curiosity due to being a fan of the Sim City games. It is not good.
Mainly steam games:
Phasmophobia (i get nightmares so i play with my frens)
Team Fortress 2
Rimworld (best community building game out there, you cannot convince me otherwise. It's like the Sims 4 meets Animal Crossing but add aliens and guns and death and lost limbs and taking care of your community)
Ark Survival Evolved (just bought it because it was on sale but I can't play it with my weak laptop)
Don't Starve Together 2 (this game makes me mad)
Minecraft (because that's my childhood)
Sims 4
Roblox (but only the rhythm games because those or fun)
Friday Night Funkin' (I can only play on easy mode lmao)
I also have Gmod but that's for my bby bro.
Yeah, if a villager leaves you're instantly ON THE CLOCK to find someone else before Nook moves in someone of his choice. A fam member of mine is complaining coz they kinda dragged their feet about finding another villager for their isle and Nook filled that spot with a castaway I let go from my island
In other ACNH "this villager irks my nerves" news, I built a water fountain and put it near the square...in me prepping the area one of mine just kept being annoying af, just being all in my way. The minute I sit down the water fountain, this dude runs to it like folks have been making him live without drinking anything; I so wanted to beat him mercilessly with the net.
