What GAMES are you Playing Right Now?

Mechanically, its a good game! The guns and plasmids are fun, even moreso in Bioshock 2. You can get a cyclone trap plasmid that you can combine with others, such as ice, to create a trap that freezes enemies and launches them into the air, shattering them against the ceiling! These moments were pretty glorious to stumble upon.

I feel like these games made an oversight in trying to dictate their philosophy to the player, trying to be deeper than what it needs to be. Its a game where you shoot bad guys and inject yourself with magic so you can blast fireballs, why wasn't this the sole focus of the story?

finally decided to check on my island in acnh and amazingly it's managed not to fall into utter disarray. i kinda forgot how i emptied out like my entire house in the name of redecorating but then never got around to redecorating. so now i'm mostly just doing basic clean up and finally going to reese to get some items that really needed customizing touched up. that's like i might see if i can push through a few vacation homes and see if i can't get pillars or counters or something unlocked so i can give some proper touches to my own house

also been trying my best to keep up with daily candle runs in sky so i can at least get my base 20 a day alongside the seasonal ones especially since i really wanna get this seasons ultimate gift. i missed out on aurora (which stung) but i can at least try for the pretty manta lamp it'll just boil down to getting the pass in time

also been messing around more in splatoon in terms of weapon mains and while i'm not great i'm definitely starting to get the hang of e-liter which has felt like a nice bit of poetic justice after getting crushed by those all the time back in 2. been wanting to do the same with blaster types but the reality is they're just not my thing. also desperately waiting for more good salmon run rotations coz if it's not sockeye station it's usually junk and it's already hard enough maintaining rank with so many new players still around

will say my biggest new game hype has now shifted to dream bbq (which i painfully forgot about) it's only available to wishlist on steam for now so i'm like...sat on my hands waiting till i've got a machine to handle playing it for whenever it comes out (i'm 1200% willing after that trailer drop) but it's also feeding into my impatience coz it's like...i want game and i want tech but the stars just haven't aligned for me yet and i'm gettin antsy =3=)

I FINALLY GOT PILLARS + COUNTERS! Literally right after I posted I opened the game and went to HHP and they gave em to me lol still tryin to get an idea of how i'd want to impliment em in my own space but somethings better than nothin

Also doing a decent job keeping up with sky dailies just gotta remember to get the season pass that's like i've been considering getting the CNY bunny mask but i'm honestly still not sure (it's really cute but it just feels like a reskin of the peeking postman's maskplus doing that much candle running get tiring after a while TTvTT)

i will say i've been wanting to find some more action games or adventure titles (ideally free or cheap) coz i've been craving fast paced punchy slicey shooty or something with interesting exploration and story but it's getting tough to find new stuff within the bounds of the nintendo eshops search functions

that like i tried the ...i think it was ghostrunner demo but i'm really really bad it turns out with that brand of first person which sucks coz the mechanics seemed really interesting along with whatever the story was gonna be there but i think i'll look for something else QvQ

Hoping I can grow the purple windflower and green mum soon- those are the final two hybrids I have left; once that is done I'll debate on if I'll stick around. I still havent finished up the quota on Happy Home yet...and I'm kinda ready to move on to Zelda or go back to playing Final Fantasy on the PS4.

Hyper Light Drifter and Dandara were the immediate ones that came to mind, and they happen to provide both fast gameplay along with interesting exploration imo. The story is somewhat minimal and linear on both though, HLD especially, since everything is without text or dialogue. You can get both for 35$ on the eShop, even cheaper if they go on sale. If you're looking for something relatively short, you might be in luck?? I clocked in roughly 15 hours for both games on my first playthroughs

Ah, just to clarify I meant buying both together is 35$, not that they're 35$ each.. One's 20$ and the other's 15$, if that's a still bit much for your budget, I can give the eShop another look for some recommendations

If you don't mind visual novels you'll love Donganronpa, (one of my friends says all the reading is tiring!), it is better than the anime because you spend a lot more time with the characters. I think the second, goodbye despair, is the best so far (I am in the middle of playing 3 at the moment)
