finally finished sonic frontiers the final horizon dlc a few days back and the impact when actually playing was definitely worth it~ The boss fight was HARD tho especially before i figured out how to do the QTEs for The End. Like it wasnt hard hard in the sense that the qte's were a struggle but getting the timing down, knowing when and how to trigger them and then knowing how to progress the fight. it genuinely took two tries because on the first i had no clue caved and googled it [facepalmed for a minute] then decided I'd take the L and try again. And it was so incredibly close because once i got through everything i only had about four rings left so all i could do was smack down combos till i realized i actually like beat the thing and the final cutscenes started playing but still a wild n fun experience finally getting through it all (and even managed to unlock 100% of final horizon's version of the ouranos island map using all the map koko and island challenges which god finding some of those koko was tedious)
also finished the temple of roots in Palia's latest update and it actually made me realize just how much a love a lot of these characters even if i dont interact with all of them often. Still it's always crazy fun when games start unlocking more lore stuff so i'm undeniable hyped to see what comes next especially with that lil [read: BIG] reveal upon completion (iykyk) but its nice having fun with a sim like game like this when usually i either get bored or completing tasks feels tedius. unexpectedly but in such a pleasant way this games become one of my big fallback when i want to play something chill but with just enough engagement to keep me feeling invested. right now aside from quest stuff i'm focused on stocking up on material stuff like ores, gemstones, crafting mats and crops and tbqh building out my farm has been very fun. plus i've actually already gotten a hold of a decent chunk of the 'exquisite' tools which just make the play experience feel even smoother (even though my bow aim game could use some work [no motion controls is whats killin it for me i think but i'm still p good]) and to my surprise it seems like Jina is the character i've made most progress with in terms of relationship building but i can't complain coz she's one of my top faves
also getting tentatively hyped for the upcoming springfest because even though i cannot guess whose gonna win (i really want it to be bunny though like omg) but it looks really pretty, the event gear is cute and Pearlina are wearing the cool concept outfits from the splatoon 3 artbook and i will be there no matter what
