I mix supernatural, science fiction, action, drama... in all my comics
Mostly drama with comedy = 
dramedy
and occasionally random comedy with a bit of drama = comma?
There's gonna be more action and/or a bit of romance subplots in the upcoming season (might be a few months before that happens, on break rn)
Ohhh, a medical mystery with music themes sounds pretty unique!
Might I recommend pulling back in the details tab, though? You've got a decent hook, but I think it spoils too much of the story right out of the gate; you want to give your reader a reason to keep reading to find out the nitty gritty details, not necessarily hand it to them all at once.

My comic Karamador is mix of medieval- and reneissance fantasy, heroic sword & sorcery, action, adventure, drama, romance, mystery, with also including real life folk tales and legends and locations based on real historical places.

My story is a mix of many genres 
. I mixed romance (bl), fantasy, comedy, and drama, with bits of action fantasy as well hehe ~
I love scifi cuz you can just do whatever with it man. STS is a pretty hard scifi, it's set in space, one of the MC's is a clone with implants to make them into an invisible killing machine. Theres some action and some romance, even a smidge of horror but mostly it's a comedy rffing off the outrageous terribleness of the world they live in.
Mine is a mix of horror, action and comedy. I like this way of interpreting the story and from what I have noticed, many of the guys who are reading it have liked that idea. I like horror, but I thought I'd do this with some funny moments to break the tension.
I like the term "dramedy" lol, and getting major Chicken Run vibes from it. Man, that's nostalgic...
Just started "Mission Statement"; pretty interesting so far! The banter and way everyone gets along is pretty fun, even if I can't help but feel like we're missing out on much of their history together.
Wow, you've got a pretty strong hook to your series! Just finished chapter 2, and there's plenty of horror/drama going on already. I'm curious as to what the comedy aspects you mentioned might be down the line, to break the tension that's already so prevalent in your story.

I've got another. "French Cup" mixes slice of life, comedy, and a cook book. Yup, there's recipes in this. Kinda has to be since it is a book about a bakery. A drag queen owned bakery.
Thanks for the thread, NetherSlayer. My first work on Tapas is a fantasy-coming-of-age adventure mixing fairies and old west characters. The rest of my novels can be classified as action/sci-fi/adventures.
I think it's a pretty common mix. Drama, slice of life, romance.
It's about an art prodigy trying to recover from her trauma and find the will to keep herself alive after the car accident that scarred her for life and paralyzed her crush and best friend.
But this one is probably less common, it's a period piece (set in the 2000s 2010s) so I guess:
historical/slice of life/ YA/ drama
It's not a romance, while I'd love to say it also falls under "heart warming" it's not warm and fuzzy enough. It should definitely warm your hearts to see the way the main siblings try to keep each other alive, but it's in some pretty dark contexts.
the story is about a girl trying to save her little brother from himself as he struggles with bulimia, and also protect him from the judgement and criticism of those around them as best as she can.

️ There will be comedy scenes from chapter 3 onwards. With characters that will have their own hilarious touch, especially with a red-haired girl who does not speak but expresses what she feels through her actions.
I've always thought that stories that include such attention to detail on specific crafts or trades were really interesting. There's an isekai light novel series for example that spends a lot of time (and even gets rather repetitive) detailing how the protagonist Blacksmith forges various kinds of equipment and why. It's neat, but much harder to appreciate than something anyone can do like cooking.
I'm curious, is this a story that happens to include details about cooking, or did you want to write about cooking and came up with a story as an pretext for it?
