I should point out that, going by my memory, last time I asked regarding female nudity I recieved the answer that female breasts are to be treated the same way a male chest would be on this site. That is, no mature rating neccessary.
I remember this simply because I was happily surprised to see Tapas take such a progressive stance.
Of course, if you want to censor female breasts you can do so. I personally choose not to, as I consider the censorship of female breasts to be a practice based upon sexist morals.
Generally, I put heavy violence, any nudity that involves clearly shown genitalia and sexual acts behind a mature filter. I do NOT see the necessity to put strong language behind a filter, since in my experience that only ends up annoying the reader. Another reason is that if your boss or mom accidentally sees what you read, the first thing they will see is the imagery, not the text. Unless you just wrote "FUCK" across the entire page... A case in which I would have to question your artistic motives.
From what I understand, the following needs to be censored, even behind a mature filter:
- Lubricated vaginas or anuses
- Erect penises
- Penetration (vagina, anus or - yes, some people do this, I don't know why but I don't kinkshame - urinary tract: ANY penetration needs to be censored.
Mouth: censor if in contact with/penetrated by any genitalia or sex toy.)
- Semen
A good thing to keep in mind is that Tapas is a generally progressive platform. Their limits are what they can and cannot do according to app store rules.
Of course, if you want to censor more than what I mentioned up there, you are free to. It's your comic, your rules. What I stated here is mostly advice based upon what is the least amount of censoring/mature rating usage that you can get away with.
