Hey everyone,
Thank you all so, so much for helping out. From every e-mail, forum post, private message and tweet. I, alongside the entire Tapas staff appreciate everyone's continued support.
This entire ordeal has been a very sobering reminder that while we have improved security of the site over the years, we still have a long way to go in order to combat these unfortunate events from happening in the future.
While we have for the most part tackled the primary issue, we still need to re-evaluate how we're handling security today, and try to prevent the problems of tomorrow. Unfortunately, the truth is, while we are diligently working at creating the proper counter measures and preventive measures against these malicious attacks, there will always be someone out there willing to put in the work to do harm to the hard work of our community.
We hope that with continued focus on improving security, we'll be able to deter more people from initiating these attacks.
