well you could always just...ignore those threads. Just like when people talk about their instagram or their favourite music - it has nothing to do with tapas itself - should they not talk about it here as well? Since a lot of creators use webtoons as a mirror site, I think it's natural to share t…
I like it...though I'm not so sure how insightful "real-time" comparisons are (It was XY at this time yesterday). Usually you'd want to compare data from a set date range (eg. Monday 12:00AM - 11.59PM compared to Tuesday 12:00AM -11:59PM). These numbers would be much more accurate/comparable (you …
I'm going to revive this thread, because I think we should get something like this back on desktop version (since creators can only work with tapas via desktop anyways). It would be nice to have statistics regarding tips, especially on KPI like - who - when - how many coins/monetary equivalent I…
Unfortunately, you can't see how many views one specific episode gets, only the total amount of views per day/month. If you updated yesterday, it's possibly that most of your 6100 views were from your latest update. But since webtoon doesn't offer detailed statistics, it can also mean that people lo…
You can check public stats like alexa.com http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/tapastic.com You can also see, which rank tapastic has within a specific country. (And tapastic ranks higher in the us than in the other top countries as well) Of course for more detailed traffic data, we'd have to look insi…
Just browse google fonts - they have a lot of fonts you can use for personal and commercial use
I can't upload new episodes either :/
But the popular section is almost always the same too :/ It's really hard to find something "new" on tapastic, thus it's hard for creators to get noticed organically. And most of the "more successful" (successful as in getting subs and views) comics are the ones, that have gotten featured before a…
It looks promising, but tbh, I'm not a big fan of the viewer. It can be realy distracting when reading - and yes, it does take some time to load. And in my opinion, a comic should be fun to read because of the content - animations, fade-ins etc are just fancy extras. And it doesn't work for every c…
huh...I found my comic there too...this is quite disturbing, not to mention the rudeness of blatantly stealing from creators like that... >_____>
This is the worst possible outcome...I'm still waiting for someone to wake me up from this nightmare -___-
Other than the genre tag, others don't seem to work :/
SHEEP+WOLF hits its 1-year mark in november, and I'm doing a big giveaway and contest. It takes a lot of time and work to prepare this though, so I'd recommend planning ahead for stuff like this haha But I agree with the others, you can make a celebratory artwork or Q&As or maybe even some extra c…
you can also add "lensflare textures" and set the layer on screen or overlay http://thinkdesignblog.com/free-textures-15-high-res-lens-flare-textures.htm can be done in gimp and sai as well - you don't need photoshop to do it that way
Though I wonder...how much screening does the tapastic stuff to ensure that fancomics don't get ad revenue? What if one doesn't declare that it's a fancomic and still signs up for the program?
I think it would be nice to be able to download your own pages in your dashboard: when you edit an episode, you can rearrange the order or delete it, but you can't actually access the file -- unless I'm missing something here?
If you're still adding comics to your list, SHEEP + WOLF is also one (though it's not really "romance" right now...)
Oh thank you for the heads up! I wouldn't have known about this otherwise
Ah, I feared that updating often would be a key element here I wish I could update every week, but unfortunately my work/eat/sleep schedule won't allow too much drawing time... It makes sense though - the more you post, the more often people will click and clicks = views = money And I guess socia…
It will probably take me a few more months (hopefully by the end of the year lol), since I don't usually get a lot of views anyways. And even if, it's only when I update, I can earn a few cents. What do you do to get so many views (other than having lots of subs)? And is anyone actively encouragi…
what a coincidence! I made my first one today [image] To be honest, I was a little anxious on what to actually write as info? On one hand, I want to give readers an overview of the character, but on the other hand, I don't want to spoil anything that will be revealed in the story anyways/is cr…
Stress. Stress. Stress. And my noisy neighbours :/
Oh I can so relate to your post I always feel like I can never compete with people who update more frequently and I'm afraid that my subscribers (or potential ones) don't want to wait so long for updates (even though 2 weeks isn't that long right?) - I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like this.…
Since my comic is done in a vertical format it might be hard to say how many pages it actually has per episode. But I create each "page" as a 1/2 A4 pages, which will be a total of 2,5 DIN A4 pages per chapter for me (though you can't really tell, since you just scroll down and never notice a page b…
I don't mind daily updates - though I might not read the update every time it pops up on my dash (I like binge-reading things). But I think that daily updates can definitely help you to gain more audience - since you will be present on the "fresh" or even "trending" and "popular" section more often …
Outsmart them by a clever battle strategy or have other characters join them, so it's a team vs one overpowered character (you could emphasize on teamwork/friendship).
It happens a lot for me too. My main concern is the loading time though. Often (not always), it takes really long to load a single picture, and II don't think it's because of filesize necessarily, because I don't have problems loading bigger pictures on other websites :/ As @kurapikasuki said, st…
Ah thank you for sharing this! I think this is a good example to show to people, who say "drawing isn't a real job". Heck, this is harder than most office jobs! And those mondays look terrifiying o___o Imagine how hard it must be if you are an unknown mangaka and working the same schedule but with…
Have you ever heard of Andrew Loomis? He has some good books on proportions and artistic anatomy - I think they are good study material! But the internet is full of reference material [image] [image] Basically the arms (finger tips) should reach about the middle of the thighs - and with legs, …
Can you sepcify what exactly you mean? Like proportions within the face/ body, or the body in relation to other objects/backgrounds? I know this answer might sound generic, but the best tip to give is: practice practice practice Have you tried using "guidelines" when drawing? [image] [image]
