A dream is to have physical copies of my comic on shelves. But also, I am aware that that might not happen, so I don't really put it as a 'goal,' I guess. That being said, I'm still absolutely gonna push for it! You'll never know unless you try.
But my big goals are to a) get the comic completed, b) get the comic printed (whether it be traditional/self publishing) and to c) bring my comic to more people who'd read it.
I really enjoy the process of making the comic and seeing scenes I've had planned for years finally come to life. I finally get to show the scenes I'm really proud of! I already know my work I well written, I'd just like to share it with others too
I am my own number one fan, and I want to be able to one day sit down and read my entire comic from start to finish. I think that one day having this comic as a completed work i and others can read is really incredible.
As for printing, similar to what I said above except I'd like to just. Pick it up and hold it. My comic is my baby
And like while obviously having a big audience isn't everything, I want people to see my work! I'm already really happy with how this is going so far, it's really nice to see people invested in my work. I keep a collection of the fanwork I receive, it really means a lot to me. But yeah, I do still put in the work to keep growing my audience, through promoting my work and such and it's difficult! I plan to keep persevering and putting my work out there while still appreciating the people that support me and my work.
And in terms of adaptation, I feel like it is a pretty big "out there" dream for most comic creators. Like I'd be ecstatic if that happened to me, as most people would! I admittedly have thought "ooh, if this was a show, what characters would be expanded on, what would be changed? Would it be live action or animated?" Like its fun to think about, but it's not what I aspire to have for my comic because it feels so out of reach. And besides, my comic was made to be a comic, and I have full control over my work which I enjoy. The comic version is what I'd concider the "intended" way to experience the story. It's my vision put to the page.
