usually a cute romance/drama, also like horror/gore stuff when I'm in the mood for it
Cant say. I pretty much watch a lot of stuff- Sci-Fi, Martial Arts, Action, Fantasy, Gritty Crime Drama, Superhero, Horror, Comedy, History type material, War movies, Westerns, Drama...
I absolutely love steampunk stuff, it's one of my favorite kind of genres. But i feel like i cant find enough of it.
Do you like the Warhammer series? that series is very sci-fi+magical+fantasy. i enjoy it thoroughly.
I tend to stick with the romance genre when nit comes to anime.
I'll be willing to give pretty much any genre a try, but my personal favorites are high fantasy stuff (bonus points for non-human characters and tons of worldbuilding) and the kind of urban fantasy stuff typically associated with YA novels.
I will watch/read any form of entertainment as long as it has a good story and character. Well everything except ecchi and harem (love triangles are okay but when its more than two it just gets ridiculous), I just can't stand them.
I like a lot of different genres, but I must say that my favorite one has always been romance.
Space Opera for life!
This.
I am very open to many genres, my favorites being horror, fantasy, sci-fi and any sort of dramatic story that's done well. I guess the one I tend to avoid the most is slice-of-life.....dunno why, it's just not my favorite. XP
@lukesuperstarfish Not particularly, no. : ) I have an old Warhammer rulebook sitting around my bookshelves somewhere (I used to build/paint the figures, because I thought they were cute, though I never actually played), and it's kind of charming in all its sincerity, but the tone and atmosphere of the stuff I've read/seen doesn't really suit me.
comedy. hands down. If the comedy is sorta shitty, it's still hard to hate.
I prefer Fantasy, but I generally just like good comics regardless of the genre.
Fantasy, psychological horror, and comedy. Though I prefer the urban fantasy subgenre than the classic Tolkienesque high fantasy. It's nice to think that the fantastic and impossible lurks in the shadows of the normal and mundane.
This is the reason I love the SCP Foundation universe, for one.
Good characters are critical to a story's enjoyment because it is the first thing they remember.
For writing: Fantasy, definitively.
For viewing/reading: Any genre, haha, well, for being more specific... I don't feel necessaryly more attraction to fantasy that to a sci-fi, or a comedy, or a drama... Still, the genres I don't like in general are the policial/thriller(BUT classic movies like Hitchcock's or others from the golden era) or action. I usually dislike superheroes comics/movies (there are exceptions too). In comics it's more difficult to me to say what genre I like the most. In manga I think I prefer shonen o seinen upon the others.
don't you like to watch school days? lol
it dosn't appeal to everyone, but you can say the least that it is a very interesting series. It took me a while to understand that there were different universes and junk.
if its crappy then its even funnier sometimes
I like horror and comedy most. I like them separately though. Not so into horror + comedy mixed together. My writing is either one of those or mystery.
