Hmm some of my recent favorites:
Dominon - it's a pretty straightforward deck building game, but lots of fun~ I've collected a good amount of the expansions for it now, so it seems like we're always running into new combinations when we play. Can comfortably support up to like 6-8 players (although it's designed for like 2-4)
Pixel Tactics - 2 player cardgame, each player has a bunch of RPG characters in their deck, one of which you choose as your leader and the rest are your army. The goal is to kill the other player's leader. It's pretty interesting, it plays on a 3x3 grid and each char has a different ability depending on if you play them front row, middle, back row, if they're your leader, or you can discard them for a one-time effect.
Santorini - One of my friends owns this one, it's like a building game where you and your opponent(s) move around the board and build up a city, and the first one to reach the top wins. Each player gets a Greek/Roman (maybe just greek?) god power that gives you an additional ability on top of just moving/building. Really need to pick this one up for myself... it's pretty cheap >o>
