What kind of music do you listen to when making comics?

For my comic I listen to a lot of synthwave/retrowave music, like the Stranger Things soundtrack. My comic's inspired by that series and the music fits really well! My favorite is this soundtrack:

I listen to Caloncho/Siddartha/Porter a lot. Spanish-language music helps me focus because I tend to not focus on lyrics as much then.
A few nights ago I had this song on repeat for like... 2 hours. I zone out really easily and sometimes just having a song with a good beat on helps.

I listened to the Prince of Egypt soundtrack the other day. But lately I've been listening too, Fifth Element Soundtrack, and 80's Synth/Electronic music by VHS Glitch.

When I do my comic I am all over the place with music but it mainly a soundtrack of Tim Burtons movies (nigthmare before christmas, frakenwennie etc) along with other movies like coraline. My comic is more like tim burton style

when tryna get the vibe for my comic, i listen to a lot of radical face. the folksy, magical mood and fucked families and underlying bitterness is just.... TWAW to a T.

mosta the time though, i just put my music on shuffle or listen to new music.

music aside, i find that listening to podcasts is really good for drawing. especially the once and future nerd - thats great for TWAW, drew some of my favourite pages while listening to it. (its also a brilliant podcast all round)

I have a playlist with music for The Changeling's Sister that I update whenever I find something that I think fits the mood.

Currently it's a mixed bag of soundtracks from Peter Pan, a lot of Nightwish and some dubstep (because dubstep fits a fairy story... right?) and some miscellanious songs.
