I love that you mentioned something really fast and upbeat along with something so horizontal and peaceful! Variety is everything! But yeah, I typically listen to electronic of varying degrees (from chiptune to italodisco!). And yo sometimes, I like to put the Metal Mario Fight2 on from Super Smash Brothers on. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY but it's just perfect to work to, keeps ya going!

For me, I just listen to MEGALOVANIA on repeat from the undertale soundtrack or HOPES AND DREAMS. Just. Undertale. yes.

Yes, Electronic is really nice! I usually listen to Acid House/Trance type of Electronic, I don't listen to much anymore but still love the gerene. Metal Mario Fight is a good choice! if I ever decide to draw metallic or factory looking themes smile

I like let my iPod roam through my song library sometimes and ironically picks the right song to fit the mood of composition. I usually manually pick songs that fit the mood so it can help me become more immersed.

Depends on what I'm working on, but I mostly listen to upbeat/electronic kind of music. It keeps me motivated. If the scene is particularly sad or moody I'll listen to things that fit that though, like instrumentals or soundtracks.

I either listen to a lot of sound tracks from movies or I listen to some electronic music. I also listen to some jazz to calm down a bit c:

I listen to some anime and games bgm when I draw, and the kind of music will depend on the scene being drawn. I will listen to Initial-D dogfight while i'm drawing an intense racing scene, if I want a qualifying racing run i'll listen to Mario Kart 8- N64 Rainbow Road , and if I can listen to Toad Harbor mk8 if i'm drawing a page of my characters driving on a coastal road. For normal scenes I just let the playlist play at random. ^u^

Whatever plays on Pandora. I.E. Rock, Power Metal, Disney Soundtrack.

Also sometimes I'll just listen to podcasts such as the great SleepyCast2 (WARNING: RAUNCHY NSFWish AUDIO~)

What is this? Someone who knows/played the Sonic R on the wonderful, wonderful Sega Saturn?! cries nostalgic tears

I used to listen to soothing and bittersweet tunes for inspiration but nowadays I gotta listen to louder and more upbeat music. It's a habit I picked up from having to block out other when I'm at work. The music I've listening to a lot these days are...

Gamble by Shiina Ringo. The opening of this song is both grand and energising to me. Plus, the I completely adore the use of instruments in this. It always makes me think of a rainy near-futuristic city where Triads or Yakuza cyborgs fight it out, gamble and fall in love with lady androids (because I've RP'd a story like this and this was my inspirational song LOL).

Clarity by Zedd. This gets me going, wanting to run and shout for some reason (which I can't do anywhere and anytime soon lol). Plus it reminds me of the official music video which I think is pretty well done. The use of lightings and art direction are unforgettable.

I just listen to anything that's on my ipod. Although videogame music is preferred, especially awesome soundtracks like Undertale or Mario Galaxy or De Blob. Srsly tho, the De Blob soundtrack is a good one especially. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's just so funky and chill. I love it.

I used to listen to a lot of soundtracks, or rather selections from soundtracks, but I gave up on making playlists a long time ago. Somewhere around my late-20s, that process lost its appeal for me. There are a few albums I listen to, mostly electronic. Recently, it's been BT's 'If the Stars are Eternal...' and Hybrid's 'Soundsystem 01'.

For my current comic, I actually wrote several chunks of it with "The Mello hippo Disco Show" by The Amorphous Androgynous on a loop. Seriously, it was a total of three or four hours of that one song on repeat.
