What kind of role would you play in a novel?

Hey there, lovely and talented people
So, the question's already in the title: What kind of role would you like to play in a novel? And why? Thought it might be interesting to think about it.

Honestly, I would NOT like to be the protagonist. I can't really explain it well, but it's too much pressure? I'd have to be likeable (though there are plenty of authors who intentionally make their protagonist less likable or "controversial" for certain reasons) or the readers might as well just drop the book, because of me alone and I don't enjoy being the centre of attention that much. I'd prefer being a supporting character (e.g. the best friend of the main character) or the antagonist (I'm contradicting myself with the "not liking the attention" part, I know). Don't ask me why, the sheer thought of it is simply intriguing, though I'm not quite sure how well I could pull it off.

I will defiantly be the best friend/bodyguard. The unquestionable support to the hero.

Hmm I would want to be either the side comedian or a collaborator of the antagonist.
I don't want to be the antagonist - that war is too big for me. I'm just the guy making money off this conflict.

I'd be the animal sidekick because I'm tiny and I make weird noises.

I'd be probably the sort of "older sister figure" or "mentor" character to the young protagonist. Probably a slightly weird witch who lives in a kooky house in the woods, or a Ms Frizzle style teacher who comes up with really oddball class activities and things.

I'm not really the leader type. And I would probably not side with the "hero" (assuming we are talking about a hero protagonist who is out to stop the antagonist.)

If the antagonist shares a moral with me, it would compel me and cause me to follow and assist them to reach that goal. Though if they are blatantly (comedic) evil then I'd change my mind.
