What level is your art?

Maybe Level 4? What did you say?

I'd put myself on 3 or 4, I think. At least with my latest bigger pieces where I really went all-out.

My comics often don't get over level 2 or 3 for the sake of not worrying about it too much and keeping on going.

Based on this I think anyone who reaches level four has the capability of reaching a six. No one is gonna be all one level, sometimes you will fart out a level three when your comprehension is at level two and the next piece moves backwards. Sometimes an artist capable of level six will wind up doing more four level work due to laziness. It's kind of interesting. I would personally put my art in the 4-6 range depending on how much time I'm willing to dedicate. I'm past what I'd call the "learning" stage but I wouldn't say every piece of art I make is a piece of perfection.

Exactly! Not everything you make needs to be your best work ever. As long as you're satisfied with it at the moment and doesn't need more effort/time into it,who cares? You created something, that on its own is a feat!

My coloring is level 1 so I don't want to bother with that, the things I'm capable at around level 2-3ish but I'm not too sure.

I'm lvl 4-ish I think. Composition is still something that takes me a long time to figure out, and quality will depend on the time I spend on the image.

I think I'd put myself at level 5??? I goof a lot with anatomy and stuff, but my colors pull me up in the levels. xD

Btw, it was interesting how watching this video I remembered times in my life when I was on levels 1 to 4.

wow that was a fun informative video, and now the only thing I can think of regarding the level of my art is this song. I've been everywhere, man. All over the map.

Here's the same frame from CG 15 from 2015 to 2018 I think was the last redo.
2015 - wow my eyes, the colors eek!

2016 - color coming together a bit more.

2017 - buckled down and did the 3d library but only minor anatomy fixes

2018 - total redraw with my set in context

Ack I can hardly bear to look & I was really proud of that pose when I started too. I'm sure that redo won't be my last. Things get better though, people look less wonky every day. In context I'm really happy with how that whole episode turned out. It'll all come together in the end. eventually.

There's no examples that really look like my artstyle and I wonder how they reached the conclusions because there's level 4 examples that has better coloring than some of the level 6 ones? I guess I'd put myself at level 5, but also some level 6 because there's such a mixed bag.

I think this kinda ranking isn't fair because everyone likes different kinds of art, but interesting nonetheless.
