@simplykit I'm gonna pass on re-watching The Mandalorian & Boba Fett shows(plus the animated series stuff like Clone Wars, Rebels, Age Of Resistance, and The Bad Batch- aside from the fact that I re-watched The Mandalorian already) coz that would be TOO MUCH...taking a break on Friday coz it's Friday The 13th(and I'm gonna watch some Friday The 13th/Jason movies); I'll finish up by watching The Rise Of Skywalker Saturday.
I might watch Solo- I haven't decided yet. Not having Star Wars fatigue, but I wish they would move forward with something a little different, than keep hanging onto/re-hashing different aspects of established Star Wars history or keeping the whole Jedi lore revolving around the Skywalker/Palpatine story). I think the only way I'd be open to "more" Skywalker lore is if they did something more with Rey's character or do something with Finn(but the "dark side/toxic side" of the fandom pretty made the respective actors close the door on ever coming back & reprising their roles); I think that's why I kinda like the Boba Fett show- it wasn't about the Jedi/Sith, the Rebellion/Resistance, or the Empire/First Order...they started to explore the lawless world of the Bounty Hunters and now got Fett looking like a don.
I don't think they could've done a whole Han Solo movie using CGI faced young Ford; using Peter Cushing's likeness(Tarkin) and Carrie Fisher's likeness worked coz they were for small minutes in Rogue One...even using Hamill's face in The Mandalorian worked coz once again, it was for a small amount of screen time. Trying to do that for a whole 3-hour movie? Not only expensive, but probably wouldn't work well.
