Man, that absurdity is always a fine line to walk, huh? I can definitely see how it might be overwhelming or even unnecessary to the point of feeling like it had nothing else to stand on. I'd actually like to see a discussion on the forums regarding how to handle it.
I personally felt like it fit the film perfectly. Not just in that I found it hilarious, but thematically it fit that broad underlying theme of nihilism (pessimistic or optimistic). The idea of nothing mattering kinda bled its way into quite a bit of the writing, and absurdity was a great encapsulation of that imo. Racacoonie is peak absurdity, and I love him lmao
