Jinwoo always calls his little sister Jimin "Jiminie"

Ernest affectionately addresses Elsie as “lass.” Don’t know if it counts.

All the gang especially Ernest calls Rosemary “Rosie”

Nothing really creative to be honest.

Neither are 'Jiminie' or 'Licia' particularly creative lol, but I don't think 'lass' counts as a nickname anymore than 'bro' or 'dude' count as nicknames

Zombra Blueberry has the most nicknames...

Zom, Zommy, Zom B (Zombie), Mr. Blueberry, Big Daddy, Dad

He's also called Zombar in one of my comics but that's not canon.

Does it count if kid DOES canonically have an actual name, but nobody actually cares to learn what it is?
Hugo does give people nicknames sometimes, but mostly insulting ones.

In Psychoborg, people who are friends with Psychoborg tend to call him "Psycho". Psychoborg calls Astra "babe" while Ira who is her fiance calls her "beautiful". Highwulver calls Psychoborg "lad". Castor tends to call everyone they like "honey". It's a term of affection they give all their friends.

As for Frankenstein... be warned that some of the nicknames are not flattering. Igor calls Prometheus (the monster) "Prom". Victor Frankenstein tends to call his little brother William a "whelp" or "vermin", his own father "the old man" and Prometheus "the wretch". Yeah, Victor is not a nice guy.

My character Rut (coming soon in "Damsel in the Red Dress.") is often called Rudy or Tootie Fruity by the people she works with, because they don't want to bother to say her name right XD.

My characters call each other short versions of their names as sweet things. Tetsu in Lyra's Magnum Opus tends to call Sana "baby" when Sana isn't feeling well, which is often. He only does it during these times. It shows he's taking extra care, extra gentleness. Sana calls Tetsu "Te-chan" when Tetsu is feeling down.

On this point the characters are complicated
I have 5 characters, and their real names are Xaviera, Soumaya , Gwendolyn, Jelissa et Reyana.
But in public or with strangers, they use fake names which are yuki , oshun, Kali , Artemis et isis .

But for family and close friends
Their nickname are : for yuki is Vivi
Oshun is Maya
Kali is Gwen and liline for her parents
Artemis is Jess
Isis is Reyna

Yeah it's complicated

My MC Bobbie and his friend R.J. both go by nicknames. Bobbie's a nickname for Robert and R.J. is short for Richard James.

R.J.'s family also calls him "Richie", but I haven't touched on that in the comic yet 🤭

None of my character's do this first letter last letter abbreviation thing for some reason, though Melissa Xochitl often writes her name as Melissa or Melly X. just because her last name is kinda long and hard for people to say. It does make it look like she's Nation of Islam, but that doesn't really bug her.

For Apparent Secrets, the roommates have various nicknames for each other:

Iris: Ramona calls her "Ree" and Khazmine calls her "mistress" as a term of respect. Everyone else calls her by her name.
Zayzann: Byxx calls him "Blue" and he's often called "Zay" or "Zayne" by the others.
Byxx: Curtis sometimes calls him "Vincent," which is his disguise name. Khazmine calls him "archfiend" or "champion" on occasion.
Khazmine: Byxx calls him "Augment" (when he's miffed at her) or "Automata" (initially misidentifying her as one of a race of robot creatures). Her human disguise is named "Cassandra" and the others call her "Cassie" or "Khaz" for short.
