What nicknames do your characters have for eachother?

Alicia doesn't really do nicknames, at least not particularly creatively. She occasionally calls her little brother "Drew" rather than "Andrew," or Kattar just "Kat." Mostly though, she calls people by their names.

Basically no one calls Alicia, "Alicia." Mrs. Moon either calls her "Licia" "Darling" "Mi Amor" or "Querida" 90% of the time. Her little brother calls her "Licia," Jinho calls her "tu hermana major" (when talking to Andrew) or "the queen." Kattar is the only one who calls her "Lise," but I don't think he's ever called her "Alicia," in the story.

Mrs. Moon is always either called "Mrs. Moon," Clara, or "My Mom." No one would have the audacity to insult her regalia by nickname-ifying her.

There aren't a lot of nicknames going on in Trespasser, but there are a few!

Kyara for example has 2 nicknames. She gets called "Ky" by Zack, which is a simple affectionate nickname. But she also gets called "the scraprat" or just "scraprat" by Tordis of the Buntha Raiders, all because of the infamous time she (almost) got eaten by a giant Scraprat and needed Jet to save her from the incident

Then there's Cathrine, Kyara's mother. She got called "Cat" by her close friends. She also has a secret nickname I'm not revealing for spoilery reasons.

Finally, there's Björn, better known by his nickname "the Buntha Bear"

Edit, because I forgot a couple haha:

Technically 'Zack' is also a nickname, seeing as his full name is Zachary.

And off course "Old Nan" who's real name is Agnes.

Baul (pronounced ball) is called Bouncy by her "twin" sister Isador, while Isador is called Izzy by Baul. Bouncy is just a cute nickname Isador gave her as Baul is considered a cursed name and no one speaks it out loud as to say it is to get attention from Baul. It's a superstition. Izzy is just a shorten version of Isador. No one other than Baul calls her that. All this is explained in the story.

Ahh interesting, I have thougt about this mostly for Zov'ha, and its menioned in the stories as well!

Zov'ha: Zov (called by many but she doesn't like it because Yar'cax used to call her that), Girl / girlie (by Marana), Little Hellion (by Subeya)

Aekis: No names for him. Everyone calls him Aekis, but I imagine Marana may call him "that creepy dude"

Marana: Being the most fun one you might think that everyone has a cool name for her. But they don't

Sinovan: Sin

Subeya: Beya, big girl

Thank you ! And I agree she did a stellar job, I love it so much! And I agree, while I chose the name Alicia for the lead and it seemed to work, saying it often feels a bit awkward in sentences I think. I think in poetry because i've written it so much, and I always think about how sentences will sound strung together, and Alicia can get a bit long and clunky, so I have most people refer to her as Licia as it sounds softer.

In my comic, Roland and Zyphella call each other Rolly and Zyphy. I don't think any of the other characters have gotten nicknames.

Vervain calls Ran Pet, later on he calls her Starlight in reference to her old name and her true name in her current life. Beloved is another one. He gets a lot as their relationship grows.

Ran has a really hard time figuring out a good enough nickname for him, she might call him Jaeger or Nunyae as she gets to know him.

Cenric calls Vrakh by so many names (95% insulting and he calls him "crybaby", "dude", "creep", and many more. I spilled it a lil in the game topic haha). Other than Vrakh, he does not really call anyone with nicknames. But he does give labels to other characters (but never calls them with that). For example, Benetta is witch to him.

Atreus does not call people with nicknames, but when he has a crush he refers her as "my love"

Ilze uses everything to call Cenric because she does not know Cenric's name until later in the story. Basically "You"

Vrakh always calls Cenric "Kid", but sometimes calls him "Friend".

If anyone curious: (Vrakh is still in future updates tho)

Just realised my characters don't have any cute nicknames for each other, they are always calling each other by their names (and shorter forms of names, but it's very basic, like Will for Willhelm) or surnames.
Only the MC has a nickname, Kestrel, but it's more of a, let's say, stage name and only one character throughout the whole series refers to her with her real name, which is Blanka.

Fiammetta: Chilly (to ChiLiang, wich is finally since she's technicallyu call him chill)

I want my characters to have cuter nicknames for each other as this is such a cool post

In 'Airy Nothing', Jack calls John 'My Fair One' and occasionally John replies with 'My Red One' because of the colour of their hair.

In 'Blooming Alphas', Akira calls Harry 'idiot' and Harry refuses to use Akira's whole name and shortens it to 'Aki'.
Harry is not Harry's real name, he absolutely hates his real name, if that counts for anything!

Carmen in Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days is also known as Asterixx (this was the online name he used on IRC - Asterix was already taken so he added an X), Thunder Chicken (Because he has an irrational love for Ford Thunderbirds), and TC (short for Thunder Chicken)
