I am new to writing so as I write I'm learning new things on what to or not to do,I want to read novels to well read and learn writing techniques and such
My favourite genres are comedys or action
Beware of people only coming in here to self promote. If that's what you are looking for then ignore this
Eh aslong as I find the novel entertaining then I don't mind too much but I do mostly expect novel reccomendations
I recommend reading revelation game! it is one of my very favorite novels on Tapas, though sadly nothing new has been posted in a while.https://tapas.io/series/Revelation-Game
To study craft, your best bet is to find books/blogs/articles and youtubers/podcasts where they explain how to structure a story for the best impact.
Aside from very basic techniques, try to find instruction in your particular genres as well, since something like story beats that work for say romance won't translate as well for action.
And you can't go wrong reading traditionally published books that make best-seller lists. They're on those lists for a reason. Even if they aren't the best stories in the world, like the evergreen favorite example of Twilight, those books did strike a sweet spot with an audience and found massive success.
The author of that story is the one who recommend Tapas to me.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a novel I recommend if you're into tokusatsu/superhero stuff. Although, you'd definitely have some catching up to do.
I'm going to be a bit thick-skinned and recommend my novels. I do hope you enjoy it though!
I have a short story collection that's packed with action and scifi:
Also have a historical fantasy+romance+action novel:
And finally a murder mystery+psychological thriller novel with focus on technology and parenting!
If you like action, perhaps these you should give these two titles a try...
This one's ambitiously action-packed--in fact every scene in here will more or less be an action scene.
This one's more classical, but the fluid writing and patient world-building is noteworthy.
I recomend the begining after the end my noviles are done just for fun ...... and im not going to post it here because im not a self promotion jerk
I recommend Curse of the Immortals:
Jade Kingdoms:
Deeper Meaning:
And Shadow's Prey:
And here comes a funny action fantasy Novel
Maybe reading about creative writing could help you as well, at least this helped me a lot:
Oh, yeah! you've gotta read revelation game!
Omg I love you, thank you so much dear!
