Literature, as in novels/prose in particular (as opposed to any other storytelling medium)? I'd say more grounded dramas about people fighting their inner demons, with not much of an emphasis on setting.
I feel like literature is more suited towards character focused stuff; setting descriptions and lore in 100% word form hurts my head :'D I also feel like the intrinsic appeal of less dramatic slice-of-life/iyashikei for me lies in being immersed in the setting (even if it's mundane) and soaking up the atmosphere, so I find it kind of boring in prose form ^^;
I realise most of the literature I read these days is fanfic, where I already know the setting and my favourite characters tend to be troubled types which kind of causes fanfic about them to skew in a certain direction XD
