What social media do authors use?

Hey all,

Since I started posting on this website, I had two readers approaching me by Facebook, asking for my social media canals which they wanted to follow. I'm not that active on social media platforms, but it made me wonder what social media platforms other authors use or what readers enjoy following. I feel super grateful for these people reaching out to me and I'd like to share my works on social media, I just don't know what platforms are suitable.

I write novels, so I have no cool drawings to share for which one would use Instagram for example.

Then I suggest twitter. Twitter's writing community is pretty big but I also know if the writing doesn't come with the "pwetty" art the struggle to get writing seen is hard. But I hope twitter can help you, there are lots of authors there in its big sea.

For writters twitter and instagram are more popular, oh there is also tiktok

I think reddit has some writer communities but it seems a lot of people look down their noses at reddit, just as some do at twitter.
