I have two seasons for my battle shonen story. I love it when they have different openings as the story progresses so here is one for both seasons.

Season 1:

Season 2:

This song would be great entrance music for Agony. The humorously over the top bragging would work great as dramatic irony for some the depths of her character. Plus the song's sound just really fits her.

Gunhild is definitely Spirit in The Sky be Keiino

Here's a song which reminds me of Lech cause he'd have very similar voice as this vocalis has (and also lyrics of this song was created is similar time as the comic takes place)

One song that I've been listening to for decades is "What I'm Made Of" by Crush40 and it's the final boss theme from Sonic Heroes. It's my no. 1 favorite besides "Live & Learn", "Live Life" & "Sonic Youth", but it also speaks to me on a personal level.

To get to the point of this is that I'd love to imagine it as Josi's theme, especially for the final fight of the saga - after everything she lead her team through, all the hardships and sacrifices they had to face to get to that point and not going to give up, when they've come so far, the song pretty much fits with her character arc and how she's going to push beyond her limitations to ensure her team being able to live normal lives. It oozes that shonen-energy and I love everything about it

I had to think kinda hard about it, but this is one of my favorite Japanese songs after I happened to hear my host mom playing it one evening, and it fits Kaito and Mika pretty well. c:
English Lyrics for the Curious Minds

Despite there being a song literally called Jack and Diane, this song reminds me of one of my protagonists (I think I just like "I can see a lot of life in you" about a ghost

I think I've gotta give it to open your heart, but I did really enjoy their cover of rooftop run during an event for sonic generations

Absolutely Valse Sentimentale by Tchaikovsky. It sounds flowery and romantic, like a song for a ball dance, and at the same time, the melody is eerie and haunting! The contrast between the two moods matches a bit too well with my MC who acts like a silly and lighthearted fool but is a twisted mass of evil. Much like this song, it is both of his traits that make him who he is. If even one is missing, he will be incomplete.

my MC is a cheesy shonen parody so you know what I have to go with

also, my comic is hella short, so why not give it a read?

Evan Moriarty:

This is Evan he's a dream pop/shoegaze kinda guy he's in a band too so it's kinda the stuff he an his bandmates would play. He's a fan of the band SlowDive which he references throughout the story.

Holygram -Still There
Similar to Maitho Evan never gives up, he's got a calm vybe and is far more aware than he looks. He's the type that could maintain his calm in a threatening situation, usually resorting to humor to lighten the mood. The still there concept fits that to me. Some parts of the lyrics fit perfectly with terrible events to come also.
the comic is inspired by that glitchy effect in the vid too!

Owen Moriarty:

And Owen is a 80's man

Little Owen gets dragged along with his brother's usually extreme decisions, he doesn't have Evans's confidence in the beginning but he will do what he can to protect those in need and fight alongside Evan till the end! Most of his powers are discovered via fight or fight response & he realizes overtime he is quite the powerhouse! Another song of persistence that needs no introduction, he does develop a lil crush on a girl he meets later on so I guess the romantic element of the song works too XD

Bonus:
Sniper at the gates of heaven inspires me alot for the overall mood that nothing can be truly trusted and death is in every direction, the brothers are a danger to other humans also
and a literal sniper squad tries to take them out lol

@Akhilles nice to meet you again, hope you gain more subs your stuff is awesome,
looking forward to reading more when I get downtime in the week. Hope you come check mines out too, I'm also inspired by Avataras, Ancient Cultures & mysticism, the mysterious Hum sound concept in mines is based on that. They are important to the greater plot but I should probably keep quiet XD
Also I love Back Down it's an awesome chill vibes song :musical_keyboard:

actually my whole novel is a song itself
if you'd like to sing it grab a guitar off the shelf :grinning:
