[This is based on a character from the early 2000s - aka PS2, Gamecube era]

Chion Minami is a middle school nerd (12-14 years old throughout the entire comic) who reads manga, plays video games, and watches movies. He enjoys making models and filming his own movies with a camera starring his guinea pig.

Chion plays Nintendo games like Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Mario. He enjoys JRPGs like Skies of Arcadia (Gamecube port), Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy. Other games he plays are GTA: Vice City, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Jak and Dexter, Perfect Dark, Ratchet and Clank.

In the 1980's there was a game for the Atari 2600 called Freeway. It was pretty much a ripoff of Frogger, but instead of frogs & logs it had chickens trying to cross a busy freeway (presumably "to get to the other side"). I can picture your chickens playing this.

As for my own characters: Carmen from WNHCD would be all about classic games. Arcade, Atari, Sega Master System, Sega Genesys, NES, SNES, and PC games up to the late 90's. After that they started getting too complicated for him. Specific genres he enjoys would be racing games, space shooters, and simple platformers like Super Mario Bros and Sonic. He believes that a game controller needs nothing more than a D-pad and four buttons.

Daecon from Defining Daecon loves more modern racing games as well as COD, Cyberpunk 2077, and though he'd never admit to it, Minecraft. Daecon is a big computer nerd (he made his fortune mining Bitcoin when it was worth pennies) and always has a state-of-the-art gaming system. Or he did, before his life was upended and he was "killed".

My story takes place in a fantasy world where video games have yet to be invented. There is only one character that is canonically a gamer and it’s Rose. She got isekai’d by truck-kun. The other members of the love pentagon would only be able to touch video game in a modern AU:

Rose: Play a wide variety of games but she has a special place in her heart for japanese visual novels and dating sims.

Corrine: The only time she would ever touch a video game would be to play a few rounds of mario kart with her lover or her brothers. In her opinion, video games are for nerds.

Nives: Mostly single player rpg. Growing up, she only had a hand me down Ps2, really like souls-like but never managed to actually beat one, her favourite game is Fallout: New Vegas.

Alex: Play a lot of milsims games such as Arma 3, and hardcore tactical shooter. Also collect
warhammer(40k,WHFB, and AOS ) but mostly play Horus Heresy with an army of loyalist Iron Warriors.

Arobase: He likes online multiplayer games on pc, spent a lot of time playing counter-strike with his first love. He spent way too much time playing Heart of iron IV, also collect warhammer, and plays Black templar.
