That is true, I think I picture her natural hair texture being ringlets, although with the weight of her hair, they'd be concentrated primarily at the bottom with the curls at the top being looser due to the weight pulling them down, if that makes sense.
So short answer kind of like a spring at the bottom but a ribbon dancer's ribbon for the rest.
They do definitely look different, but also different hair weight and textures also play into it, along with humidity, products and pretty much everything else So honestly as long as it's curly I'm not the type of person to nitpick on details. I have curly hair that looks different depending on the weather, styling and the length
