FOOD TOPIC ! I love food.

I like cooking different dishes, and mostly, dishes of the laziness, like ramen or udon with chicken. Risotto with chicken too. And pasta with tomato sauce + chorizo.
And making some chirashi, and fried noodles.
And scallops with creams and pasta or french fries. smiley

I like making some curry too.

Today I'll try some noodles with teriyaki sauce and meat.

Great topic! And an important one. since it's the engine of all us comic-creators. I'm a diabetic, so the kind of food i eat is important to me. I like to keep it simple. No high dosed sugar bombs for me. Bread in all kind of ways work the best for me. Like we say in the Netherlands: Smakelijk eten! smile

It's just yoghurt, cucumber and salt and pepper - pretty simple dish overall.

Blue Apron is a service where you sign up and they send a box to you each week full with ingredients for 3 different meals for two people. Plus recipe.

It helps me, because I am bad at food shopping. I often end up buying things I don't eat, then it goes bad and I throw it away. In Blue Apron everything is sent to me in the perfect amount for the dishes, So I don't have to worry about unused meat or vegetables.

You should google it, zelkats! I can really recommend it. smile

I like to boil artichokes. But they are expensive. so I don't get them a lot. T^T

Other wise I hate cooking. lol

@zelkats Yep! Lots of bell peppers, mushrooms, onions. Every now and then I put in broccoli as well. Really any vegi I have laying around the house that needs to go, I'll put in spaghetti yum

oh god Im drooling everywhere... Please guys add reciepes to your posts whenerver possible ! 8D I want to try all your awesome food from all over the world !

I did some kind of ratatouille a few days ago:

It is the simplest thing to do, I swear!
For 4/5 servings, you'll need:
- 2 or 3 bell peppers (you can vary the colors!)
- 2 or 3 zucchinis
- 2 or 3 onions
- 2 or 3 tomatoes, or 250g of cherry tomatoes
(+ an eggplant, but I did without bc I personnaly don't like it)
- as much garlic as you want
- herbs (rosemary, basil, thym, oregan...), salt and pepper
- olive oil

You cut all of that into bits and you put them into your pan
-> the onions first, let them cook in the olive oil
-> then add the bell peppers bits
-> after a few minutes, add the zucchinis (and the eggplant)
-> the tomatoes
-> pepper, herbs
-> cover it and let it cook, stir from time to time
-> when it's cooked, add crushed garlic & salt, give it a bit of heat so the water evaporates a little (not completely, tho)

Devour it!
It's also very good cold and an awesome way to eat the leftovers is to put them in an omelette.

Lately I'm thinking of adding a tofu and seaweed curry soup recipe later.

@mademoiselleallouis That looks absolutely fantastic.
@zerobloodyrose I'm intrigued about the jalapeno in the lentil soup.

I recently discovered I like stuff like Tofurki, so I could easily go vegetarian. Except in the time where I would go to a chinese buffet--that isn't really Chinese but good.

I want to try real Chinese and see if I'd really like it.

I LOVE to cook (and drawing food is good also). I really like food and the cultural impact and tradition it has in different countries, hell, I even tend to watch food docs =T .

I mainly cook for my twin bro, I cook dinners, but we could dine foods that could be considered breakfasts D: ! .

Mmm I make a lot of things like: Pastas (carbonara, aglio e olio, aurora. Just to name a few), Crêpes, French Toasts, different rices (sometines I finish them like you would do with a risotto, with butter and parmigiano cheese).

Sadly I don't have any pics to show T...T. Your stuff looks delicious Zel, and everyone's stuff here, they all look amazing, would like to try all, hahahahaha =P

Regards oo.oo

Wow! o.O These pics about the dishes you made all look so professional! You guys're amazing! I've been living with my boyfriend for a year, so I just started to learn how to cook around that time. We have a REALLY SMALL kitchen, it haven't got even an oven T.T Only a cooktop, so I kinda have a limit what to be able to do ^^; Due to my work I haven't got so much time to cook, but whenever I have free days, I do smile Today I made pork with garlic and potato. (It hasn't got a name at all XD) What's good about it, is the grease/fat of it can be eat with bread :3

Maannn, you guys are all making me so hungry. I can just cook anything that goes from the freezer to the toaster oven. Oh, and rice, I can cook rice. Also rice. And rice. And did I mention rice? ...Sandwiches too. Those count as cooking, right?

I ended up making Tuna, with feta and Walnuts. I think it would have been better with Thai Curry Paste.

I think I'll just sit down here in the corner and watch those food photos you post ; U;
I love food, but I can't cook at all CX yesterday I managed to bake some pretty good cupcakes, but today when trying to cook dinner I turned kitched into one big mess ; -;

@zelkats Yeah the recipe would be awesome!! I wanna douse that stuff in tabasco afterwards haha. Thank you! The desserts were fruit filled cream puffs (profiteroles)with chocolat sauce. ( ´∀`)

@AnnaLandin Potatoes + pork is the best combination! The picture looks so amazing, I want that in my face ( ꒪Д꒪)ノ

@zerobloodyrose
That soup looks tasty to me! Personally, the looks of food doesn't matter as long as it looks good lol. I don't think I've had lentils before :o Perhaps this topic needs more vegetarian recipes! smiley

@purrlpankras7
I've never made stews and roasts before D: So far I've only made quick meals except for cupcakes lol.

@getsuart
Food, food, YES! Oohh man I gotta try making risotto someday! And I do love me some scallops.
Hmmrr, for some reason I can't seem to view your photo D:

@studiomik
Wow.. that looks so beautiful. Man.. it must be tough to be diabetic ;A; What's in the sandwich? open_mouth

@FromFinn
Pffft lol

@ratique
Omg that sounds ideal. I always dread trying to finish leftover ingredients even when I want to try one recipe just once! I'll google it for sure, but I don't think anything like Blue Apron exists where I live ;A;

@AlkseeyaKC
I don't think I've had artichokes before XD And lol, I getcha. Cooking can be a pain.

@WintreKitty
Ahaha! That's an idea >XD Some times I don't know what to do with leftover ingredients. Next time I'll just put them on pasta lol.

@mademoiselleallouis
Wheeee! Ratatouille <3 Thank you so much for the recipe! :DDD Yes, yes, keep sharing recipes. I'll post my coca cola chicken wings recipe soon~

@Menbung
Heheh, I cook breakfast-worthy meals for dinner most times too XD Oh wow, you've cooked quite a few stuff that I wanna try myself! smiley

@Ayumi
My kitchen is rather small too, and I only have a microwave oven that's not big enough to stuff a duck inside lol. Oh God, I love wiping up pork grease with bread too! D: <3

@puellaaquae
Rice is good. Rice is life, lol. I'm afraid of buying frozen food for fear that I might forget about them for 5 years or something lol.

@sarahrebecca58
Tuna, feta and walnuts? Wha? XD;

@igneriss
I love cupcakes! I baked cupcakes some time ago because I don't know why but Japan has NO cupcakes. Like, they have many other western desserts but wtf is this madness lol?

@kitsuneonwheelz
I've never eaten those before. What's a Rugelach? XD;

@Himmi

COCA COLA CHICKEN RECIPE
I cooked 8 pieces of wings with this:

Marinate them with enough soy sauce to coat everything, a table spoon of oyster sauce (optional) and 1 1/2 table spoons of chopped garlic (optional) for 15 minutes minimum.

With a pan and olive oil, fry wings 5 mins on each side (medium to high-ish heat) and brush/pour the remaining marinade on them. After that, pour in 250ml (1 cup) of coca cola.

Put a lid on and leave it to cook at medium heat for 15 to 20 mins. You can take the lid off to let the coca cola sauce reduce into something thicker. If you don't want the wings to gets overcooked, take them out of le pan. XD

I'm not sure how it tastes with tabasco sauce but do let me know when you try it! smiley
