The only way I found to reset it is to click the icon and "mark as read" the section. But every day they add new webtoons and novels there :sweat_02:

Unfortunately, "mark all read" doesn't seem to be working on Firefox :cry_swag: been trying multiple times since yesterday, could get rid of a grand total of one (1) notification... out of 78 :cry_01: marking everything as read from the phone app doesn't seem to do anything for desktop either, despite the account used being the same.

I also don't like how activity notifications have been pushed all the way down to the end and how the very first thing you see when you open the notification page is just... premium comics ads.

it does work on firefox, just after a radnom (annoyingly big) number of clicks

Just tested again. Clicked 22 times with no result. Then I tried to temporarily deactivate uBlock Origin and clicked on "mark all read" again. The notifications disappeared. Not sure if there's an issue with uBlock Origin or if it was just a coincidence, tho :sweat_02: will have to try again with the next batch of notifications.

I'm also using it and it does clear up without deactivating it but it does take many, many attempts so you probably finally got to the right number of attempts (it's so frustrating how much it takes to get rid of this spams when single click clears up the activity tab)
btw, were spamming the button or waiting for the site to reload?

I assume the 'messages' tab is also for announcing events and stuff

Damn the inbox seems kinda... bloated. 77 notifications and only one is from a author I follow

I have the same issue and use Firefox too. I don’t like how cluttered the inbox is and clearing the messages shouldn’t be a hard task.

this is so unbelievably stupid dear god
i'm going to leave for comicfury for real if they keep this up

So I'm not alone with this sudden issue that seemed to pop up. Is this some sort of bug? I'd like to only receive messages that are made directly to me or my comic. I have no interest in reading romance of any sort, so these spams are utterly useless to me. Apologies to their creators, but I just don't like reading that genre. Why did this start happening? And how do we get it to stop?

@Sstavix It's not a bug, they just made the inbox the same as it is on app. Except it's more convenient in app and there's no Mark All Read bug. You can make a ticket on their discord or write an email with your concerns, the more people are complaining, the more chances we have to make it more convenient.

I'll have to do that, then. I'll look on the site for their e-mail address.

Got a response back from Tapas saying that they're forwarding the email to other team members because they've been receiving similar complaints recently.
Good work, guys! xD
Hopefully, some good change will come of this...

My OCD is spiking just from seeing 86 notifications that I can't clear.

For the people on Firefox (@Llyrel @Animefanka @NellieVP318 ), I read on discord that clicking+ctrl to make a new tab open make all the notifications go away.

I use chrome so I can't confirm nor deny.

Thanks for the tip, just tried it and it worked! :tapa_pop: No need to deactivate uBlock Origin either.

One additional thing I noticed: it only seems to work with clicking + holding the CTRL button to open a new tab. Clicking with your mouse wheel (which also opens a new tab) won't do the trick.

I seriously hope they fix this, btw. Fun fact, I checked the notifications from my phone today and discovered that I got a new subscriber who read and liked all my episodes (:heart_03:). When I opened the website from my desktop, however, the Activity notifications were gone (because I'd already seen them on my phone). Guess which notification did NOT go away until I used the trick above, though?

...Yep, you guessed it. It was the ad for a premium comic.

It should be in the exact same place as in the activity tab. Up at the top right:
