What TV Shows are you watching?

So, I'll be straight with you folks.

I recently saw Legion and I'm fanboying like crazy. I thought the show was so good!! So well written, Aubrey Plaza is amazing as always, the direction is like nothing I can think of nowadays in a series, creative to no end! The most basic X-Men story told in such a fresh way... It's so good I kind of felt ashamed for the other super hero shows I watch.

I also just saw Westworld and The Good Place and was blown by those two too! Great writing, great acting!!

Are you guys following something cool?? Is someone fanboying/girling like me on Legion!?

I mostly watch anime and occasional re-runs of Simpsons and King of the Hill. I guess the newest anime I've watched would be S-Blend which I truly miss already.

I don't watch a ton of TV, but I love my Chinese historical dramas.
I'm a huge fan of the Three Kingdoms era, and thusly really enjoyed the 2010 production of Three Kingdoms.
Currently, by the same director, I'm watching the drama: The Legend of Chu and Han.

And just for spice: Season 1 of Fargo.

@KoreanTacos It's been sooo long since I saw an anime haha I stick with mangas usually. I have finally watched Paranoia Agent last year, though, and I thought it was craaazy good

@ChristodeBoyet Dude, there's this amazing reviewer who does really (and I mean REALLY) complete and insightful reviews and Star Trek is one of the things he likes to do. If you wanna really delve deep, I super recommend it!

@storytimebiondi I never saw one! I usually stick to Japanese and the ocasional Korean ones. I'm going to look up!
Also, Fargo is in my list, I heard such great things. I was resistant at first because I love the movie so much, but it seems good. It also has the same showrunner as Legion!!

My husband and I just finished Carnivale on Amazon Prime (originally aired on HBO years ago). It's probably one of the most intriguing live action shows I've watched in a long while and all the characters are great and memorable.

Now we've started to watch the original Twin Peaks.

i really wanna start watching black mirror though, theyre using some of my favourite actors this season

As for live-action TV, I admit I rarely touch it. Unless it's a historical drama, or fantasy-related as those are my absolute favourite! However, I've begun watching some Korean series upon my friend's recommendation, one called Goblin in particular. It's not too bad so far, I do like how sassy some of the characters can get lol

I've been watching the American version of The Returned. I started watching the original a while ago, but I haven't been in the mood for anything with subtitles, which is why I decided to try the re-make. Honestly, I'm undecided about if I like it or not, despite having watched eight episodes already.

Other than that, I recently finished Timeless, which I enjoyed because of the historical elements. I also enjoy baking competition shows like Great British Bake Off (and all versions from other countries too).

It's on at the moment so it's also technically "what I'm watching". It's like Roald Dahl's short stories in a thirty minute program format.

I love the Red Cliff movies!! Although, the Cao Cao actor in "Three Kingdoms 2010" is by far superior. So, when I watch Red Cliff I often think #NotMyCaoCao. It's funny though, because the actor who plays Liu Bei in that film, plays a minor character in The Legend of Chu and Han who is a total douche.

@jpnakashima Three Kingdoms and Legend of Chu and Han are amazing. THey're definitely worth the watch. They aren't without some campyness, but overall are amazing.
As for Fargo. Always worth it. Also: there are some fun Easter eggs in it for you if you've seen the movie.

@joannekwan Are you folks enjoying Twin Peaks? I actually have a DVD set for this one and love David Lynch to death, but never started. I'm thinking it might be my next one.

man after i finished community back in 2014 i tried watching parks and rec and just... couldnt get into it. i think i was just too obsessed, i ended up rewatching community for the next few months

Right now- my fave shows: Game of Thrones, Into the Badlands, Better Call Saul, The Flash, & most of the Marvel Netflix shows(except Iron Fist). Most of the shows that I've really liked have ran their course and ended(Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad- currently watching the final season of Orphan Black).

I'm not really watching anything seriously right now. I finished the first season of Black Mirror and don't know if I want to continue with that, then I'm also watching Invader Zim and Curb Your Enthusiasm on and off. Last show I set aside dedicated time for was Stranger Things 2, but lately it's just more casual viewing for me.

If you like angsty heavy stuff, I just finished watching "The End of the F**cking World" it was angsty, and heavy, but it's one of those things you keep watching needing to know what will happen next. It's pretty good!

I watch a lot of Star Trek though; TOS, Next Generation, Voyager... All of it... I don't want to say I'm obsessed or anything but... I am.

@punkarsenic I totally get it. Every time I finish Community I want to start again! Parks and Rec is a great series too, but I just saw it last year. I had lived with Community for 3 or 4 years already, so I managed to power through!
Parks is one of those series people say '''oh it gets better by like, episode 20 of Season 2'' and I get it, since it's when the cast really settles down. Season 1 is reeeeeall different from the rest of the series (it's the worst of the bunch), but to be honest, I still enjoy it, and I find Season 2 as a whole a delight. Give it a try again someday!!

@Shanny8 Dude I was rewatching some episodes of Daredevil Season 2 and it gets me so mad sometimes!! haha Every damn time someone says the Punisher is a good guy, holy moly... Iron Fist is, indeed, atrociously bad. It's kind of impressive, to me. Have you checked The Runaways? It looks super cheap, but I liked it better than 50% of the Netflix shows.
Also, Flash yeeeah! Season 4 is shaping up to be good, after Season 3 broke my heart and faith. You watching the rest of Arrowverse too?

@fakey Curb Your Enthusiasm is a master piece. Only seen Seasons 1 and 2 though.

@insomniascrawl I've seen The End of the F*** World. I thought it was cool, real peasant. Angsty, but quirky. It got that indie vibe I didn't even know I missed.
