I don't really get mean comments. My speciality is losing subscribers. People just run, they don't say a word.
That time the teacher told me I look as stupid as my doodles...oh you meant online. Surprisingly, none yet. It seems the real world continues to lose it's appeal compared to this greater one. Yeeesss indeed...(ꏿ ω ꏿ)
I thankfully haven't encountered anything super mean on my comic pages (though that could change at any time the story takes a new turn). However, there was one person who basically went "the two main girls look exactly the same." and announced they were going to stop reading the comic. :'D
Woooow...how unprofessional of that teacher! Seriously, who does that
I think someone said my music sucked ass back in 2013. Granted it did suck ass now i've improved and it sucks less ass. I don't recall having many bad comments the entirety I was online, even on tapas just absolutely confusing ones.
I don't think I've gotten mean comments before but it hurt more when I shared my story and a particular person who read it had a lot of criticisms about it...except the criticisms were all basically them not understanding my style of writing. Not being able to make them enjoy my story hurt more than receiving hate D:
I've only gotten positive and supportive comments on my art and writing on the internet, which I'm very grateful is the case.
The passive-aggressive comments came, however, when I said that I would stop producing free content. It felt so backwards.
"what is this feeling?....compassion?, love?, but i am the embodyment of hate, nooooooooooooh!" (ceases existing)
I don't get a lot of comics but I did have someone compare one of my older comics to Lose from CRL-ALT-DELETE after only reading the first 10 pages. I told them the robot dies and they told me that it would be as bad as the infamous meme. Honestly I kept the death in and no one cared. It just made the person sound like an ass.
It seems like he was not serious. I mean he got notifications, right? So he was subscribed to your comic.
i think ive had to delete a rape joke or two from a very well known tapas commenter
Oh. it's horrible.
Lovely teachers. Mine just tore my drawing once. So I had to repeat it one more time.I did not feel it as a critic. He was just insulted I was drawing during his lesson.
The meanest comment I ever gotten:
Not getting any comments at all.
I think he later added that he kept reading because he hoped for the comic to get better, "but it only got worse".Oh well. Everyone else liked it, so one hater isn't that bad.
One I got that was a little weird was, abridged, "I love descriptive language but boy, you have too much, use less, only if you use less it's typically seen as shitty writing, but anyway that's just my opinion."
Like, wait, what?
Hm. I don't understand this kind of people. No one force them to watch it. They are free to find something they like. I think it is just a way some people like to throw their frustration on the world.
My thoughts exactly nods
Hahaha so true though. Too many nice comments make me nervous. It makes literally no sense.
"You have generic lineart."
