Hey guys! This has nothing to do with comics, but with gaming, which is one of my other passions. Since I'm getting back my interest for games (especially Nintendo ones), I was wondering: what was your first ever gaming console? What were the games you used to play on it and that you remember more fondly?

My first ever gaming console was a black Nintendo DS lite (although my first actual approach at gaming was through the Polystation :joy:, but I'm not counting it since it is not an official one), which my father bought for me all the way back in 2007/2008 iirc. I remember seeing my cousin play with his own DS and begged my father to buy me one.
My first ever DS game was Cars: Race-o-rama and I recall being addicted to it as a kid.

Unfortunately, my Nintendo DS lite didn't last too long, because one day my mother carried it in a bag alongside a water bottle and the water spilled all over the console. It was one of the worst days ever for me and I remember being very sad because of all the time I had spent with my DS. Luckily enough, my birthday was approaching and the Nintendo 3DS had just been released, so I got that instead.

What about you? What was your first ever gaming console and your first peek at the world of gaming in general? What were your favorite titles? Let me know!

Yeesss!! The DS became my very first gateway to video games. Pokemon Diamond, LoZ Phantom Hourglass, and Kirby SuperStars were my first games.

I then transitioned to the Wii, then to the infamous PS3. I personally found the Wii the most memorable because I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl and LoZ Twilight Princess, which were revolutionary for me at the time.

Ahh, good times.

The first I played was my cousin's PSX and she had only Croc and Disney's Hercules and a bunch of demo disc and out of these I think I liked Tekken 3 demo most

The first one I owned was a PS2 I bought together with my sister (around the time PS3 was coming out which made PS2 cheap enough for us to afford it), the console, additional pad and Tekken 5 (we had to go for a game we could play at the same time and we'd both enjoy) took all of our savings 'xD

Now I've got quite a hefty collection for it but the game I have strongest feelings towards would be Persona 3 FES.

I guess, I came across it at the right moment (both my grandfathers died around that time and I was quite lonely in my middle-high school days so I guess this made this game resonate quite a lot with me)

So nostaligc. We got the SNES for Christmas when I was very little. Never had too many games - just played Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 2, and NHL ('94 maybe? No recollection of which one) over and over :coffee_love:.

Sometimes we rented games from the movie store too - that was always a huge treat.

My first console was a white DSI (I still have it), and my first game was Professor Layton and the Curious Village.
I love Professor Layton games so much!

My family weren't particularly well off, but one christmas as a present shared between me and my two siblings we got...

A Sega Mastersystem! It came with Alex Kidd built in (yeah, later versions came with the Mastersystem version of Sonic The Hedgehog, which was definitely the better game). We loved it to bits and covered it in stickers. Obviously in the UK, like most of Europe, Sega was dominant over Nintendo, so we could swap games with lots of kids locally.

Oh yesss, that was my first console on a tv aswell  But me and my sisters only had one game because everything was second hand ^^' But this one was so much fun. I always played Frank (the Monster) or the Grandpa.

I think I still have it somewhere.

Then, when I was 14 my mum was making empty promises, that when I managed to get my tracktor driver licence, she would buy me a PS2 .
I learned like a maniac for that test but when I passed it, she didn't want to hold on to her promise...(she didn't believe, I would make it). luckily my dad made her fulfill it ^^

then the Jak2 era began... Still my favourite game to this day.

First and only: Xbox 360.
I didn't know anything about games besides the dbz ones (I sucked at them), so I asked for Halo 1 2 and 3, which I thought were upgrades for the system.
Only got Halo 3 and didn't play it after 3 months because I didn't know how to play FPS games, but once I understood how to move, I became addicted.
My favorite game of all time and one who gave me lots of memories with my friends and helped me cope with bullying and so.

Then I didn't have enough money to buy another console or even game until 2016 with a pc meant for my university which also handled some games quite well.

My is the Nintendo 64 and I was 6 back then when it was first launched in 1996 and also the Game boy.

(recent console I got is an Xbox Series X this month)

I remember that my uncle gave me his Gameboy, which was maybe the first one they've sold. xD
And the only game he gave me was the first Tetris. I played it more than I can count.:coffee_love:. (And a bootleg x games in 1 card thing.)

@feuersichel I had Pokemon Blue and Yellow too.^^ My dumb ass me, who couldn't read at the time, relied too much on luck with my under-leveled starter beating the gyms. xD

I know that feel. Especially trying to go with electricity against rock xD but it worked in the series, so...

I've at least one variant of most of Nintendo's consoles. In fact, I think Virtual Boy, and Color TV Game are the only one's I'm missing.
